Glad you guys put out a preview! It’s an important match early in Pochettino’s tenure. I think the 3-4-2-1 is the formation to go with and I kind of have a feeling that’s what Poch will try based on his call-ups. That formation means Pulisic and Tillman can really float and move in centrally when they want to, switch sides, etc. I think it gives them more creative freedom, and given Pulisic’s form right now, that plays to a strength. Antonee Robinson is totally capable of playing wing back on the left, and frankly any combo of Dest (when healthy), Weah or Musah can be solid on the right. While it’s our weakest position, I think a defensive backfield of McKenzie, Trusty and Scally can acquit themselves reasonably well, not to mention they are likely our best options to handle the speed and physicality of the Jamaican forwards (other than Chris Richards when healthy). McKenzie and then either Johnny or Tessman as the box-to-box guys makes sense, and then Pepi (or Balogan when healthy) . I say 2-2 and then we get a showdown in St Louis!

Agree. When I saw only two fullbacks called up I immediately thought we were going 3 at the back for at least one of the games. I was thinking 3-5-2, but Braden's 3-4-2-1 with the people he selected is a better chance at success.

It makes the most sense, but I still wonder if Poch might stick with the 4-2-3-1. Either way it’s the same players on the pitch, hopefully they can keep us in it heading back home

@@AMERICANULTRASTALK Braden will do you a recap of the game? I'm interested in your thoughts on the next lineup for St Louis. Tillman continues to be ineffective, and Musah on the wing doesn't seem to be working either. I liked Weston at the 10, which went away when he dropped deep to back-fill Johnny. I suspect Weah comes in on the wing. Not sure I like Tessman and Musah as double pivots.

The USMNT had best just show up and play. There is no more room for brain dead moments and half hearted play. If Jamaica scores first it could be a long game or two. Wish Weah was playing tonight. This is Pepi’s golden opportunity to make a claim to the striker position. Want to see the guys focused and raring to go!

Interesting, I didn’t see anything about that and he just played a full 90 over the weekend. That’s a big blow for Jamaica.

Why do you keep pretending that Cade Cowell isn’t good? He won Liga MX player of the Month. There’s no chance of winning that if you’re not good.
