Money. American Pharma and medical treatment are driven by profit. They want to have the monopoly on treatment, even if it's not truly effective at curing people. They can patent their synthetic made substances. Curing people in their system isn't truly optimal because it ultimately entails losing customers. Cannabis is a natural plant provided by the earth. It can't be patented and controlled.

I was addicted to heroin for ten years. I finally said f- it to abstinence based programs and just did what I thought was best for me. I told myself that I could use as much cannabis as I wanted to get through that first year or so. I smoked all day everyday. I also processed my traumas (turns out my childhood was pretty bad but it took me a long time to understand that because it looked normal on the outside), started meditating, eating healthy, and working out. Gradually, the cannabis use began to taper off. I’m three years out now and mostly just use a little bit of cannabis in the evening. I just don’t need as much anymore. Dr. Ramani on KZbin helped me process my trauma. Authors Gabor Mate and Maia Szalavitz helped me better understand substance use disorder from a compassionate, medical, and scientific lens. Hope that helps. Best of luck to you. Wish someone had told me a long time ago that nothing was fundamentally wrong with my brain and that I had every reason in the world to feel the way I did, so I want to tell you the same thing. Addiction is not a life-sentence. You are not destined to struggle forever. Your brain can rewire and make new connections. You got this. Rooting for you.

Years ago, I hurt my back at work and went on worker's comp. I had a doctor who told me, "Do you need anything? I can give you anything you want." I always said no, because I knew too many people who were prescribed opiates and were addicted, besides, I didn't like how they made me feel. I had him prescribe me the biggest Motrins he could. I would go to the office to get my prescription every month and the waiting room was packed, plus a line out the door, with addicts waiting for their scripts. When I went to my comp hearings, the comp insurance stopped paying me because the IME's said I was malingering because I wasn't taking opiates. I must not be in that much pain if I'm only taking Motrins. The judge asked why I wasn't taking them and I told her why. She said, "That's good enough for me," and ordered them to keep paying me.

Solid content. This not only hits that algorithm bite, but it’s also incredibly informative. Honestly, cannabis brought me out of a very very dark place. I remember that one evening. I smoked, I listened to music, and stared at myself for hours in the mirror. And I cried. I laughed. I talked to myself. And ever since then… genuinely. I’m a better human. I’m not perfect, but I’m better. I think there was a lot of unconscious introspection that was unlocked via cannabis. I get sick to my stomach thinking about who I was. I wasn’t violent, but I was vile. I had such… distaste for everyone and everything. I wasn’t well. To this day I will forever remember my cannabis night. That changed me. For the better.

Me too, Since about 15 years now (when I was ¬25 years old) my experience of THC started to change from a mellow/enjoyable experience to an instant anxiety attack (high heart rate, unable to sleep). The attacks presented me with feelings of uselessness and made me constantly think about everything I had done wrong in my life and what a sorry state I was in. Definitely not a fun experience, once or twice I actually became suicidal after taken even one small toke from someone's joint at a party and had to leave immediately to home to be alone and try to sleep or think about positive feelings, without much success. I did find that listening to mt favorite music had a positive effect on it as it kept my mind from the negative emotions and as we all know, music sounds awesome on THC. I have learned that a few tablets of Valium (diazepam) reverses these effects and makes the experience more mellow/enjoyable like smoking weed before I was 25 years old...

He can continue to taper one milligram at a time if he wanted to. He had take home bottles therefore he wasn't going daily and he could keep using cannabis while tapering his methadone. Fifty milligrams is a lot to just drop off from and he went through immense withdrawal unnecessarily, potentially increasing his chances for relapse. I was up to 110 at one point and am doing a taper as well. I'm down to 65 and plan another 5mg drop in a couple weeks. I hope everything works out for Beau, as someone who was using heroin for more than half the time they've been alive I fully comprehend the insidious nature of this disease. Massive changes need to be made and maintained on a daily basis. This one time i didn't have enough money to buy a 40oz of malt liquor before smoking crack, but I had some weed and since I couldn't gather enough change to get any alcohol. I just smoked some weed first and it was while high that I had this moment of realization of just how stupid I was being and how i was really fixing to throw my life away and mess everything up for good. I didn't smoke the crack I had bought that day. I cut it up in small piece s and sold it to the crack head across the street from where I was living at the time ( Not the most ethical thing to do ) but I had to get rid of the crack so I wouldn't even be tempted to smoke it and from that day on I only smoked weed and been clean off crack since October 18th 2008. Now I don't even smoke weed all the time. I can take it or leave it, but have no desire to ever go back to crack. So happy I'm still clean from that. You can say ( oh, you're just replacing one drug for another ) but there is a BIG difference between weed and crack same with weed and opiates. Weed is a much milder drug and while it can be habit forming. I have never stolen for weed.

Try sticking with flower or oil or products in general then that are Sativa. Limonene, one of the most abundant terpenes in most flowers, but usually is not so much in Indica if any, but Limonene has the same or similar effects on the brain the same way ADHD medication works to tell people “wtf is my impulsive brain thinking” like you mentioned. And if you say use Limonene heavy Sativa Only Strains with ADHD meds, and actually HAVE ADHD, it works incredibly. My suggestion tho could be considered a new drug haha. Ill use my adderall capsule, take half out usually so I’ll be on 10 mg most days when i do use it, but XR, and then i put RSO Oil (AVEXIA brand G Purps at the moment) as i noticed Indica hybrids though the right ones with RSO SPECIFICALLY can make an entire difference on my entire day due to the strength and length of rso. But i start by squirting two lines from a dablicator which measures the doses, and i think only hits 115 max at the max dose twist, then it stops and you just repeat the process but its a great cut off method for dosing correctly. But anyway, i put the 2 lines and even sometimes three into the XR capsule which by nature is a very slowly releasing capsule anyway, so the stomach issues or GERD or diarrahea and all these things eating RSO RAW LIKE THEY SHOW HERE! It works instantly, but its WAY more effective being swallowed orally, especially in a capsule, youll save yourself multiple doses.

Weed provides your brain with dopamine (which ADHD brains constantly lack), which relieves a lot of the symptoms. @@Chillin-fpv Metaphorically, if your brain is a ski slope, your whole life is a series of taking different paths down the slope. Eventually, those slopes become indented and its more difficult for us to choose another path, for example, addiction. Taking mushrooms is like a fresh snow falling on your brain, it re-awakens your neural pathways. A lot of people myself included have experiences where they wake up the next day and they feel a renewed sense of motivation to do better for yourself. It helps your brain process a lot of years of information/pain/trauma. Not exactly the most scientific explanation, Mushrooms can also cause really adverse reactions from person to person, but its generally mental. I suffered a psychosis once from psilocybin... They practice the same habits thankfully but of course they use the other stuff maybe 2-3 a year. But legalization in America was definitely the smarter move we’ve made recently….. Either that or we can go back to arguing about how taxes, insurance, and irs don’t help enough and demand more money than they give out or compensate. I can't remember where I seen a video but there was a guy that got clean and he said he asked himself "has he had enough yet" living miserably on drugs. What this guy said about going through methadone withdrawals and feeling the pain is the realest thing I've ever heard. Maybe that's what people need to feel. When you feel that pain you finally realize what that drug has been doing to you all these years and the pain of coming off of it proves what it has done to your body. I just talked to my doctor yesterday and I'm about to come off of 15 years stent of Subutex. When you're going through that pain you start to realize what you have done to yourself and what you have allowed to happen to yourself. It's crazy because over the last couple years I've grown to find zero pleasure in anything I do being on the Subutex. But what that guy said about feeling it when you come off of there will make it to where you never want to go there again once you're able to come out on the other side clean.

I was a raging heroin addict with almost 9 years clean in June! I don't understand how users will say that they still want to use after years of clean time, like seeing it will make them go crazy and want it so much!! Since getting clean I've had heroin in my face and it turned my stomach just the thought of others doing it in front of me! So I believe with the actual desire to want to stop and enough time, the whole thought process on the matter will be completely different

i disagree. i have ten years clean and i would be tempted to pick up if it were in front of me. the desire never fully goes away (for me)

@@boosqueezy2418 I definitely feel that I've had friends that told me the same. I guess it's a matter of willpower and coping mechanisms.

The biggest reason marijuana is a gateway drug is : when kids and young adults realized pot wasn’t the crazy dangerous drug they were taught it was, they figured that was true with other drugs as well. I wonder how many people would never have tried harder drugs of weed had never been made illegal
@HolyStreetSmoke9 ай бұрын
Listen, weed wasn't a gateway drug for me. At five years old I was told I had adhd autism, and they prescribed me drugs like ritalin adderall so many pills. I made the switch to cannabis and it saved my life. I've been using it here in NJ legally for 2 years. Pills came out after voting Cannabis came out before voting and it's been used medicinally for thousands of years. I'm 18 and I feel mentally clear and I eat very healthy organic food everyday. Who voted for big pharma?

That’s how my dad got me clean. 2 car wrecks I shoulda died in. Drs loaded me down in oxys and then took em away. Went from selling weed to being a big time H dealer hooked on my product. My dad told me to come down to his weed farm and he had a pound of flower and 2 ounces of dabs waiting on me. He said by the time I finish smoking it all I’ll forget I was even on H in the first place. I got a lil sick but barely remember it. He did give me that pill drs use to keep ppl from vomiting. He said I needed to stay as hydrated as possible. I rly miss my pops. He was the best.

Exactly. Unless it's a pure indica or a strain with low THC high CBD, it will make certain parts of withdrawing worse
