If Jokic wants him to be here it's very likely to work. The reason Laker fans hate Russ is that he was earning $45m and he wasn't worth it! He was supposed to come in and be a 3rd superstar with Lebron and AD, and he couldn't do that anymore! So, he didn't earn the salary. Now, he's on a veteran minimum contract. Is he better than Reggie Jackson? Yes. So, it's worth it. If he doesn't play well, they just go out at the trade deadline and get another veteran minimum guard. His salary is so low they can do that!

My thing is that we have been so awful without jokic on the floor for so long. It’s not just that the second is bad, it’s the facts they literally just wouldn’t do anything. I’m okay with letting Russ have his ups and downs running the non jokic minutes because it quite literally can’t be worse then what we’ve seen

Looking forward to Dario Saric being the MVP of the first half of the season! Russ brings energy at this point, but shooting is awful. Also excited for Strawther to be young guy to step up.

Lakers and Clippers both convinced themselves he could be a game changer. And he was a game changer, but not in a good way. Now he’s on the Nuggets, and I don’t expect the results to be any different. Lakers and the Clippers both tried numerous roles for Russ, hoping to unlock him. It failed. And it will fail in Denver. I hope I’m wrong. I want Russ to succeed and win a title. But I’ve watched Russ play A LOT, and, at this point in his career, he should be an end-of-a-bench guy. Maybe 5-7mins. I’m guessing Denver, to start, will play him 20-25mins. And that will almost certainly not work.

Ryan and Swipa are interesting basketball observers. They have long had a highly visible presence in the Denver market. Both have KZbin channels. Adding them to Locked on Nuggets does not provide the fans with an expanded perspective or a fresh out-of-market viewpoint. It would have been better to brings some new faces to the show. We need another Matt Moore type.

19:13 like there’s no way u watched reggie jackson play basketball last year, & saw russel Westbrook play basketball last yr, & said “yea, reggie’s definitely better then that guy” . Reggie’s shot was ass outside of those barely 2 months. Even within those two months he couldn’t defend AT ALL. & wen he tried to, if usually resulted in an And 1😑, u cant have Reggie with other bench players & not @ Least murray or jokic . With russ u can stagger a guy like Mpj because he can ACTUALLY get him the ball. Numerous times Reggie missed players , wide open. There were even times where he struggled to make the entry pass into nikola . Like yall gotta be serious with yall self man.
