He's already beaten 3 division leaders, (Texans, Cards, Falcons) thrashing two of them, and a contender (Packers) two pre-season favourites (Jets, 49ers), and pushed the SB favourites to the limit, while he's been learning KOCs system and building chemistry with all his new playmakers. It's a bit of a moot question isn't it. They have another division leader on the slate in week 16, Seattle, and a contender in week 17 - so wins over them should shut down that sort of nonsense question.

I have watched the Vikings' games since the season opener, and here is my personal opinion: If Sam Darnold leads a deep playoffs run to a Super Bowl victory 😊, his market value will be at least $50 millions per year. He will also be the number one target in free agency because the 2025 QB class is thin and uninspiring. What I said so far is obviously a given. Since the Jaguars game, the growth in Darnold's game is noticeable: 11 TDs, 0 interception, and his plays now are instinctive and not overthinking. Sam Darnold is peaking at the right time. Sam Darnold can still climb another 2 levels in KOC's offense during the stretch drive and post-season! ❤

The run defense has been elite when both Cashman and Pace have been healthy. Opposing teams only averaging 50 yards per game when both are in! If Cashman can stay healthy, Pace should be back for the last two games against GB and DET!

1:35 Hate to say it but if the interior O-line doesn't improve they are going to get torpedoed by it. They want big pass plays that take a while to develop and interior pressure has stalled drives to the tune of 10-12 yard sacks too often

As for the Vikings run "D", if the Vikes score early and often on big plays, then the apposing team will be forced to play catchup, and you cannot catch up by running the ball. The best run defense is a great passing team that can score fast and often. So should the Vikings have a full complete game from the offense, then the run game for the other team is mute. This is what happened in 1998 with Cunningham, Moss, Carter, and Robert Smith, apposing teams found themselves behind so often they had to rely on their passing game. Now, the Vikings defense is good enough to defeat slow the run game, but they have improved against the pass. However, in 1998 they only lost in the NFC championship game to Atlanta, because Denny Green took a knee with 47seconds left to go into OT, and then Anderson missed a field goal for the first time of the year. Who the hell takes a knee with Carter, Moss and Cunningham as your offensive engine??? My wife has since referred to Green as rerun, alluding to his desire to play the drums after big wins.

I think it really depends on our opponents. I’d be more worried about teams like the rams or eagles (especially after Bijan ran all over us) than the lions or packers who are definitely a better team but health wise it’s not looking good for the lions on defense.

Vikings should sign Darnold ONLY if he has playoff success, and I mean make it to the Superbowl. The Vikings front office wanted to try the QB on a rookie contract strategy and clearly it has worked in their favor this year. So why not continue it?! If Sam does make the Superbowl... Hopefully he would take some sort of deal that favors the Vikings, but HELL NO do they trade JJ. We have watched the Packers mold Rodgers and Love for years on their bench so they are ready when they play. Vikings should do the same. JJ McCarthy is so young

The Vikings are grooming Sam Darnold to be Stafford's replacement. I said it at the beginning of the season as a meme, but now I think its true. O'Connell came from the rams, and Stafford is getting older, with a ton of miles on him from all those hits. I think the Vikings might tag-and-trade darnold there.
