Britain did a number on both India and Pakistan. Pre 1947, it was one huge land mass, ruled by Britain, people of many religions living side by side in long established neighborhoods, so tolerance had some chance. Families settled for untold generations in the same area. Of course, there were problems. However, think of the turmoil of any country needing most people to leave their ancestral homes, take what they could, and move themselves and their families by whatever means possible, across huge distances to a new "homeland". Untold people killed, raped, stolen from, surrounded by strangers who were desperate for resources, polarization of politics and fighting for land between the newly defined groups. Both countries have had extreme poverty, education unavailable for many poor, corrupt leaders getting necessary monies that could have built up infrastructure. Many political parties skirmishing against each other, causing closure of colleges and other necessary services. Incredible waste of resources and peoples' abilities to better their situation. Long pattern of violent thieves doing home invasions. What I've written is likely sketchy, but it gives some idea of divisions, with so many causes. Basically, Britain set up a situation that set people against each other. It worked.

Well, that piece of the puzzle has been put in place. They've been losing a lot of top agents in explosions these pst couple of seasons. And MI5 doesn't seem to be very good at protecting assets. The minute they bring somebody to a "safe house," or a room with a body guard, you know they're doomed. Not sorry to see Sarah and the other CIA dude get it. Especially after that Natasha Nogudnik wig. Roz was not my fave, but I have to admit, she was a bad ass.The poor Home Secretary: he barely had the words of his oath of office out of his mouth, and BOOM! Luckily, they got Simon Russell Beale for the next season.
