Actually won locals tonight with the deck. People underestimate this deck quite a bit despite how strong the board control across the archetype can be. I think if anything you should consider playing it sorta like Twilight, where a lot of people have swapped to blue base for more value while retaining the xros package the deck has always relied on. It also doesn't care much about passing memory because of the ACE suite available to yellow at this point and the defensive options Venus give the deck. I will admit, it disappointed me a lot that the deck wasn't given an option; or even the potential for Shaka to be some DNA digimon between Xiangpeng and Domini( rip Big Kuzuha Shaka, Luna-Kaiser Nail will keep the dream alive). But I think you're honestly looking past some of the potential these type of decks can have at making the opponent overextend and facing the consequences of their actions. It's not uncommon that I've managed to beat meta decks with Shaka either due to matchup knowledge or, realistically, people screwing up big time by ignoring the Sec- deck only to get Big Buddha'd a turn later. Keep up the vids though, honestly the Ragna vid has me convinced to give it a try if I can get my hands on that SR

Honestly, fair assessment. I get why this was in Infernal ascension. I mean, this is Journey to the west and Enlightenment .dek. Problem is that this is the deck with the least amount of good prior support coming into the set. So, the times where this deck places in tournaments are when they do yellow ace spam and use a big red draw engine. And it sucks because, if any deck should operate like a shounen anime, it’s the one based on the book that started it all. Feels like the journey to the west is rather directionless.

A digixros deck without save is so weird. If these cards had save in text I can see some kinda funny hybrid between this and the evil hunters deck from BT12 or something, but really this deck seems to serve no purpose. Unrelated if anyone wants an AA Shakamon I have one for you :)

they already return a source when they leave the field to the hand which is just better save. besides DKM is a digixros deck without save except on promo skullknightmon.

Completely misread Shakamon (didn’t have an English copy when testing) I thought it played all the material out. Still a good floating effect overall. In addition a cute lv3 package is Armadillomon from bt-16 with its egg you get blocker memory gain and access to sheepmon a card that can really help out the deck stall against decks with raid which is great in any deck with venusmon and can allow you to build in back if needed. It’s worse than a draw base but it’s cute .
