A game similar to Black Myth: Wukong based on Indian Mythology would absolutely clap. It would be a massive hit. If i am not wrong wasn't an Indie developer coming up with a Assassins creed / Ghost of Tsushima type game based on the Chola Dynasty. Imagine if they got the funding and backing from Sony, they turn it into a Masterpiece, we need more games like that.

As an Indian I don't think India will be able to create anything like Witcher 3, BG3 or Cyberpunk. I'll be satisfied enough if we can just reach the quality of PS2 classics

My suggestion would be to first create a Game on the lines of MAFIA series A small story based game that has good gameplay mechanics along with good graphics. Once you taste success, then proceed with creating a CALL OF DUTY style campaign game based on our Indian defence forces. Only after that, go for Black Myth Wukong style game.

Nope ,,there are many problems, First of all there is very less number of PC gamers specially for titles like AAA in India,most of them just play free fire/pubg,AAA games are not famous here whereas in case of wukong around 80 percent of total sales were from singlehandedly China,and there is very less number of steam users in india,India is not even in top 20 countries of steam base, Second is that people are tooo sensitive here,in GOW and Wukong,the characters literally fights with gods,nope thats not gonna happen and 3rd is the investment if somenone had that much money he would litterally invest it into other indian startups rather than giving in an risky gaming studio.

First get gaming compaines to make games accessible for the Indian audience, there is no Playstation streaming service here in India, same with Microsoft/Xbox streaming & let's not even get started on Nintendo which literally has no presence in this country officially.
