I would say it depends if Brandon Sanderson was exclusively on Spotify I would see about options to purchase his books on there so I can read them as much as I like. If not I will buy physical copies because when I really like an author I will pay for their work and I won't accept a subscription in place of ownership I will miss the Michael and Kate the narrators for Brandon's books though so I may still listen to them on Spotify alongside a physical book purchase. Audible is better imo because they offer a bargain where you can buy 3 tokens for somewhere around 35 Aud and that means I can buy a trilogy which used to be the standard for a lot of genres. There is a lot of value for money In audible if that value isn't there in spotify I will not use the platform. Also if you use the desktop version of audible you can select from a range of free books that you can add to your library for free. Finally audible doenst come with ads unless you listen to a podcast Spotify is full of ads. I listen to audio books multiple hours everyday yesterday I spent 491 minutes listening to audiobooks and this is standard for me.

Thanks for the enlightenment. I have 496 books in my audible library. I’ve listened to about 350 of them. Probably more. I listened to two or three books per week. I will use my 315 hours per month on Spotify, if there’s a book I really want and I don’t want to spend a credit. I am the listener that it will work for, however I won’t be topping up.

Hi, thanks for the video. Because I like fantasy and science fiction, most of the books go way longer than 15 hours. Take Outlander as an example. If you didn’t top up you would be waiting for a three month period to finish the book. That in my opinion is ridiculous. On music, I was like you. Streamed everything. Right up to when we were locked down for months and the internet became problematic for about a two week period. I can’t remember now what the problems were, but the internet went down on and off. Then I lost my job because I wasn’t going to have the poison, resulting in I could no longer afford all the subscriptions. That’s when I realised the importance of owning the physical media. CDs, DVDs, Records, books… I have now built a home extension for a library/music room.

All the Raymond Chandler books have the same narrator. He does a great job with these books with a throwback tough guy tone.
