Maybe a way for you to make an inlay from the stamp… stamp them into clay. Once it’s hardened or backed you can pour silicone in there and presto, you have an inlay. I love the van! ❤️

Ooo thats a great idea! I’ll definitely try that! Thank-you.

@@JBKonsCreations Make sure the clay is sulfur free...and if you wish for the inlay to be shiny you can pass a torch over the clay imprint before pouring the silicone.

Maybe spray with silicone release spray. Or- stamp the images on clear acetate with waterproof ink. Then color in with markers. Like a p.e.t. Sticker.

I don’t have any silicone release spray unfortunately but I’m definitely going to get some and try it.

That’s what I was thinking, good idea, abit of mold release…

Your video says you waited 48 hours before you tried to take out the stamps. I think if you try after 12 hours it will be easier to peel them out. Even if your tray is a bit soft, you can just lay it down and let it cure out of the mold. I think these turned out great! 🇨🇦

I tried this around the same time you aired this video. Before applying more resin for topcoat, I poured silicone rubber into the stamp indentation.....got lovely inlay to replace the warped stamp, So after 1st attempt made more in old mold just for the purpose of making inlays. Worked really well. I'd seen another y tuber do it so figured I'd give it a try.

I've stamped on to resin when is halfway cured. It's worked out quite well. I've used different color stamp pads. The cover with another layer of resin later.

Hello! I have tried that technique and I really understand what you mean about the difficulty of getting them out.😅☺ I also think that you can make one in resin, and then make your own silicone inlay from them. 😇thanks for showing us what you've done. they turned out super nice🥰😇

Great saves, but sorry to hear of the ripped stamps. I wonder if mold release before applying mica would be a good idea. They do look so cute!

People use “droozy inlays” in the same way, maybe you can find a video on those that will tell you how to keep the stamps from sticking and tearing. I absolutely loved the way these turned out!! You did great!!

Loved the idea of using clear stamps as inlays. I bet you could spray them with mold release when you use them again?

There are several videos out there showing how to use this with Less Likelihood of tearing the stamps, (which is such a shame to tear). Also you can *100%* make silicone inlay/insert from the hollow imprint in your resin pieces, (before topcoat is applied)!

You could try mold release before rubbing on the mica. So that way the mica still sticks to the resin.l

very pretty! why dont you use the stamps to make a mold inlay that way the stamps dont get damaged and they might be easier to get out of the resin. just a thought 😊

How about leaving the stamps in the mold? I liked how they looked before you removed the stamps. If the stamps don't work a second time, I suggest leaving them. Just dome over them. ❤

I stamped the image onto the mold without leaving the stamp in place. It worked. However, that wouldn't work if youre wanting to leave an impression.
@melaniereisner8375 Жыл бұрын
I saw another person do that. It also worked when she put mica directly on the silicone mould. I was really surprised it worked. The resin picked up all the colour!

As a card maker I cringed when I seen the stamps. I seen a cool technique where a gal demolded a piece before it was solid. Wonder if you could stamp while the resins pliable? Use a clear resin block for a stamp block.
