Does the little bracket need the connector that’s layered over the screen connector, cause I see you didn’t have it when you reinstalled the new one?

Removed some of the “pads” on the watch ... can you add solder to them?

i see a few comments in regards to a safe temperature by which you’d recommend for this kind of repair as to not damage the board in the process. could you please share what temperature you’ve set your soldering iron to? & whether it’s in celsius or Fahrenheit? thanks😊

I see you replaced the NFC module on the screen, does NFC still work now or do you need to transfer the NFC module from the old screen?

Hi FIXD, i damaged one of my Apple Watch S3 42mm GPS LCD flex connector port (LCD side), i think i forced the flex in while the back tab was in lock position and now it does not go past Apple Logo when i power On the watch. When i check inside the port, i can see some of the the terminals are out of position. Is it possible to replace the port with another one which i have from a damaged LCD ?

So, I was replacing a screen on a series 4 ; I tested it and it worked but needed to disconnect to cleanup the force touch gasket once it was reconnected the screen is black. Every come accross this? The watch powers on and the touch functionality is good. I was thinking possibly the flex cable but wanted to exhaust other possibilities....

I have a question. I recieved the screen on the Apple series 4 watch. Screen works but now battery has the red snake when not in charger and green snake when on charger. It earns up on the bottom where it connects to the charger but won't charge. I figured needed a new battery. I bought a battery and all it does it warm up like the other one and just stays in a boot loop. Any ideas what may be happening? I don't get the connection between screen/cables and battery? An i missing something? Any idea what may be happening?

If you replace a screen and the force touch gasket is broken will only Force Touch not work or the entire touch screen not function properly (ie. The screen will power up but no touch functions will work)? Awesome video and tanks for the detailed steps!

@@okiesib i did replace the force touch gasket, unfortunately did not help. Seems that the ribbon cable was damaged, tried to replace it, but my soldering skills did not match and damaged one of the fragile pads in removing the old ribbon cable from the logic board (So left the project there). the force touch should not prevent the whole screen from functioning (like I initially thought) should still work like an old Apple Watch pre-force touch. (Hope this helps, good luck)

@@okiesib be very gentle in removing the ribbon cable from the pads and take your time (learn from my mistake😭) and use allot of flux and use some copper wick (desoldering braid) to assist! to get rid of all that sticky flux residue afterwards use some 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean. Hope you get it to work!

It depends how it was refurbished but would probably go for the average price of any used in good shape watches on eBay for example.

I have replaced ser 3 screen complete. Watch works fine but will not pair with phone. Is this to do with new screen been detected ? And not allowing pairing. Many thanks.

It’s the NFC connector that isn’t coded to your watch. Do you still have the old screen?

Roman Gal it could be that the connectors aren’t in all the way. It could be a defective screen as well or that the display cable was damaged somehow. Hard to say without opening it and seeing what it could be. Try reconnecting it first. Good luck and let me know if you need assistance. Thanks

So did you find your problem? I have same issue. Removing old display, it started flash green and turned off. After installing new one, its not turning on (screen) , but watch is turning on.
