Don't know why, but for me, everything about Abaddon, especially his death coil, reminds me of Arthas from Warcraft 3. Probably no other hero reminds me of original Dota as much as Abaddon.

As someone who played a lot of HotS with a 5-stack, can confirm it's a lot of fun! Even if you suck at mechanics you can just sit in a lane and farm XP and you'll be contributing at least something to the game. It is very snowbally though, which makes the games shorter but it does not feel good when you're 3 levels behind and it's still too early in the game where the enemies don't have enough damage yet to push your base but they are too far ahead for you to contest them. The reason I played with a 5-stack: coordination. It's pretty obvious when you come up against a team that knows what they're doing when you're just a bunch of randos with no communication or map awareness you get stomped hard.

I always find it funny that Pyrion talks about buyback and fortify as if other MOBAs are weird for not having them when DotA is the only one that does.

There are forms of stasis and revival , but usually on skills rather than team wide buff

@@Jaime_Protein_Cannister Oh I know. I've played League of Legends, SMITE and Heroes of the Storm, and each of them is pretty great at their own thing within the genre. Pyrion's also talked about League before with the same kind of "They don't have TP scrolls Joe! Can you believe it!?"

League used to have Summoner Spells for instant revive and fortifying a single tower. But if was really problematic to the gameplay direction League was taking. Teleport still exists but it's a very long cooldown. Game is too reliant on Flash and overloading hero kits to have interesting Summoner Spells.

Yes/No on a covid test would be weird cause you need the 2 lines at the same time to confirm both the sample and the result were in order. Only T is an invalid result, but with yes/no, the space of the T would show only 'yes' which would not be a valid result because of the sample not checking out.

I used to be into HotS until Blizzard revealed that they were, in fact, utterly terrible bastard people. Thus, I can't bring myself to get back into HotS as fun as it is, as it takes a *lot* to be a somehow worse company than Riot, of all people.

I'm a huge dazzle fan, so it makes me sad to see this one stand so close when wave auto hits everyone with aghs. I particularly question the purchase of shiva vs force, arcane blink or seal club esp when 3-4 of the enemy team are 100% looking to jump your butt. Also I feel selling midas before eating aghs is very premature. At least this one bought BKB, and admittedly I would have been baited into feeding on the high ground def when I am priority target 1.

Honestly, what the world would have been had Blizzard had the insight to pump DOTA into it's own game. I've always felt the further Dota got from the well that was WCIII the more it feels like parts are scavenged rather then engineered. Part of this is that the actual creative portion, like character art design and even a good chunk of "character," was Blizzard, not the owners of Dota. The other that instead of being allowed to breath Dota is very much restrained by people wanting a "get gud," game. Losing Dota also sealed the fate of old Blizzard. I think it was the excuse that was used to push away the old designers and move towards something more commercial and marketable as a whole.
