Our house was built in the 40s and we bought it in 1988. Our bathroom was pink. The tile was paint. The floor was pink and gray and we finally got it changed out in about 2000. So we had to put up with it for 12 years. We also had gold shag carpet and green shag carpet throughout the house. We changed my daughters out for pink loop and then teal for the living room and hallway but yes, we have no carpet now and you can see remnants of the gold shag carpet on the bottom of the floor under the hearth of our fireplace.

We always charge shipping to the buyers so if something sells for $50, it’s $50 plus tax and shipping. Total overhead is about 40%, eBay fees make up 16% of that 40.

On the orange ceramic trash can. That flaw is a pop in the paint as it fired ..not a chip. That can happen in any ceramic firing .

The reason most people put carpet over hardwood floors had to do with upkeep. There were no good covering products like now that you only have to mop. My mom drug out the old buffer 3 to 4 times a year at least and "wax off, wax on" and buff. ✌
