Laughter came easily watching Sherpa but, yes, tears are never far away when I think of his last days. A gentle soul like him did not deserve ill health and Jamie didn’t deserve the torment of losing him. A pet only breaks our heart when their’s stops beating. 😥

You are right about that. These days where you simply enjoy time with loved ones, doing things like this that are the relaxed part of life, in the moment, are truly special. Sherpa and Nook playing, looking cute, being loveable and energetic brings such a smile still. Sherpa's "love-hate" relationship with his sister is unique. 🤣 On the one hand he is annoyed when she comes, on the other hand he is incredibly happy when the two of them see each other.🥰 If you add time together with Granny, Bill, Nook and all the others, it can only be a perfect day. Sherpa's loud joy and his entertaining manner always trigger a broad grin. This picture of the two fluffy boys together is great. How much I miss opening presents together.
