Meeting Norman back in July and offering to help tidy is front garden, little did I know we would visiting him every week for the rest of the year and transforming his property. From Rotten windows! Leaky guttering! Rendering cracking everywhere! We had one goal get Norman water tight for winter and we done it.. thanks to our KZbin community.. I hope you feel proud to of been apart of this!

Rewatching the whole playlist back to back really lets you truly see the change in Norman's demeanor as time goes on. He was very reserved at first, but gradually he started showing his energetic and goofier side. I can tell they truly made his mental health a lot better. I hope they still will swing by for a visit and some tea from time to time.

Just going off at a tangent here, did anyone else notice the scaffolding getting a good clean before it was dismantled? Just showing they take good care of their tools is a sign of how good their work is. And really all the people who worked on the house did a fabulous job. It’s heartwarming to see people helping an elderly gentleman, they all went above and beyond! Norman must be thrilled to see how lovely his house looks now ❤️

What a journey it has been for all of us to witness the transformation not only of the house, but Norman himself gaining his confidence back. It was Amazing to see what the Renderors found when the bricks were exposed and the lack of modern codes revealed around windows. It’s a wonder the house was still standing. It was a revelation watching the process of the re rendering. Your videoing was amazing showing their work. Absolutely. Very professional, talented, and knowledgeable trades people. Even stuff like getting the green (moss?) off the windowsills and such. That was an epic and emotional end to this makeover. Ben, you and your dad are the two kindest and generous men on YT. It was very emotional watching you Ben and Norman at the end of the video. Norman said it all. What you two have done and all of the people and places who contributed money, time, expertise and building materials are incredible. Even if people could only donate a small amount, it all added up to improving the quality of someones life and their wellbeing for what I think will be the rest of his life. What an awesome pleasure it was to watch the skilled craftspeople. In our high-tech world we don't often see these people who truly keep our society running smoothly. They show up, work tirelessly, do beautiful work, wrap up and leave. It seems like there should be a celebration of what they accomplished day after day, year after year. My dad was a carpenter. I loved how he turned construction materials into a home. Old school with a handsaw and a hammer. So much of this was hands, skilled hands. Beautiful.
