My husband used to bring me to tears with his beautiful bass voice. Fifteen years ago we were hit head-on by another driver. One of the many injuries my husband sustained was a throat crush injury. They had to go in and clip both sides of his vocal chords because his airway was constricted. He can no longer sing like he used to, but once in a while he can sustain his notes just long enough to once again bring tears to my eyes because of the beautiful bass sound that lives in him.

Since I first discovered Peter Hollen and the group HOME FREE with Tim Foust, I have felt so depressed and lonely. I don't have many friends and the only family I are my 3 adult children (2 of which are in group homes because they are developmentally delayed). I am 65-years-old and physically disabled. The Home Free group has put some happiness into my life after going through an unwanted divorce several years ago. My life has gone severely downhill since my divorce and I have lost all of my personal and belongings thanks to some so-called friends whom I took into my home because they were evicted from their home and were homeless. They took all my money that we were trying to survive on. It's bringing back horrible memories of my high school years when I was bullied by everyone in the school. I had no friends back then as well. That is when my depression and loneliness problems started. Tim Foust and the Home Free group is bringing some happiness back to my life.

Way back in the 60's my husband his cousin and I had been asked to from a worship band in our church. We sang at several youth clubs and were invited to sing in other venues of a more worldly nature. Now my husband was particularly.She and while he was truly the best singer of the two prefered his drums. Well he often sang when it was just the three of us and honestly he sounded like Gary pucket had entered the building. Someone heard him and persuaded him to sing at a community event. He sung this girl is a woman now. He brought the house down. You see what I didn't know was that while I was changing my guitar from a six to twelve strong for next set as his cousin was introducing the next set song content he mentioned that husband was going to do this song and cheekily added very apt considering that xx ( me ) and husband had only married day before and were heading off on honeymoon after this event. Someone called out something about what age is she just as I came back to the stage and before either of them could stop me I responded 16. Yes I married at 16 husband was 19. 53years on he still songs to me every bit as well.

I was blessed with a voice like this. Now being 68 years old, my singing days are just for me when I want to sing. I was in bands when I was young, sang some in church and of course Karaoke. I can sing very low bass all the way to the highest notes of Seven Bridges Road. I loved to sing the song My Way using the Elvis style. Much fun. Hopefully when I reach heaven, the Lord will let me sing in the choir.

After just listening to this version by Elvis, which in all rights was beautiful and smooth, for me it didn't have the depth or the emotions that Tim seems to evoke with his rendition. I'm not saying that Elvis version was bad, it was beautiful, a classic. I just think Tim put a little more soul in his and changed it enough to make his rendition a new classic.

In my younger days, I sang bass in a few church choirs and praise teams and did occasional voiceover work. One day during my day job, I called a company to order some parts for a project I was building. I heard the young girl on the other end of the phone tell a friend close by, thinking I could not hear her "I LOOOOVe this guy's voice!" A couple days later I drove to their warehouse to pick the part up. When I stepped up to the counter, I gave them my name and told them what I had come to pick up. From the office area behind the counter I hear a young woman almost scream "The VOICE!". She wasn't assigned to man the counter to handle sales, but I saw her peeking around the corner to see me. Sadly, my appearance and voice do not match well. She was expecting some hot looking hunk and I am just a 6 ft very common looking guy. I did hear from other salespeople working there that she talked about my voice for weeks. I was so sorry to not match her expectations., but it did make me feel kinda nice.
