Hunter as a licensed counselor near Chicago I can tell you that you have saved lives with your song. Music touches so many people from different walks of life. Especially when artists tell the truth. From you, Moonlight Mile, to the likes of Bekah CC to DJ Gudog... no matter the genre. When artists tell the truth it cuts across all lines and it gets _inside_ of people. This song in particular has helped several of my clients to stay breathing and keep in the fight. When they are so traumatized and in pain, they can not even connect with their heart or 'fucked up brain' it is like your song becomes their heartbeat for a while and keeps them alive long enough for us to do the work of healing. Please keep it up. At times you are my co-therapist, and sometimes in the presence of such pain, you are my heartbeat for a while too.

❤ I'm 62 years old my son was born in 1981 is downfall came at the age of 15! Been in and out of rehabs prison escaping from his family, how to respect that shows you the kid still had heart. He has been clean and sober for 3 years what he has accomplished in those 3 years of sobriety is absolutely remarkable. He is married a school teacher she's very supportive he still goes to his Meetings online and he has a family group of a group that he first he became aware of during his sobriety they are the anchor continuing being sober with all the support that they give. My son is a musician, a damn good musician as I would say and as others do. Everyday is a struggle demons are still there . My heart swells with so much pride In Love for coming so far in a short time. Others in his position hearing a young man like this sing his song of his demons his awareness that there are so many people out there needing support strength and help. If you love your child if you love your man you hold him tight and pray with all the might you have inside. He has a wonderful life ahead of him with support as this beautiful man sings his song I sit here and cry because I am so grateful my son is sober and has a life finally thank you to you we love you

I dont know if this song comes from your heart and is about your life but it's almost like you are saying every word that I have inside me and how I feel. You brought my heart to the surface for real. That's exactly why I keep going. Because I can and I choose to. Dont mean the things that made you aren't still inside. [Verse 1] Fightin these demons this week seems harder than last And if I keep on getting this sinkin old feeling And I don't know how long it will last Let me ask you one question now friend how do you Still pray to Jesus and pick up the pieces when nothing else pleases you All these times All these times [Verse 2] Since the first breath I've taken I've been Forsaken and tossed way out in the dark People seem to wonder why I don't mind the thunder and lightining, lighting up the yard Maybe I've gone too far from where I started to start turning back now Got me thinking things might be better in all this weather if I just jump ship and drown All these times All these times [Chorus] Well every day I wake I can't tell how I feel except somewhere between a heathen and a driving wheel Hungry for attention and trying to hide between falling off the wagon and catching a ride I've tried I'd say but baby I'd be a liar I'll build myself a prison just to set it on fire I'd like to say I can't but that ain't no good Cause can't never could Oooooooh [Verse 3] I didn't get to be a kid so I grew up quick and I guess I didn't grow up right Started drinking whiskey stead of water and sleeping through the morning and staying out all damn night Had me feeling like James Dean in a small town scene but they never come to see me in jail Those are kind of friends when shit hits the fan you're the only fool standing around And damn those times Damn those times [Chorus] Every day I wake you can't tell how I feel except somewhere between a heathen and a driving wheel Hungry for attention and trying to hide between falling off the wagon and catching a ride I've tried I'd say but baby I'd be a liar I'll build myself a prison just to set it on fire I'd like to say I can't but that ain't no good Cause can't never could Oooooooh [Verse 4] Before long I found a little bit of crystal and it had me standing up on my hair Didn't have to sleep and never had to eat I was trying all I could to be dead Between dead and dyin is where I resided and seem to spend most of my time Every day I got older it just got closer to heaven for my horn in the sky And damn those times Damn those times [Chorus] Every day I wake you can't tell how I feel except somewhere between a heathen and a driving wheel Hungry for attention and trying to hide between falling off the wagon and catching a ride I've tried I'd say but baby I'd be a liar I'll build myself a prison just to set it on fire I'd like to say I can't but that ain't no good I'd like to say I can't but that ain't no good Cause can't never could Oooooooh Oooooooh
