I still have all my original Capitol mono's of the albums that are the boxed set. But what strikes me is how pristine the album jackets look! And that Japanese Flag "Beatles at the Beep" looks truly dazzling as well. Peace and Love, Terry and Julia Tutor

How great that a first-generation Beatles fan is keeping it up. I love that. My sister was one at first, then gave them up when she didn't think they were cute anymore. Wouldn't you know it, though, she married a guy who looks like Clapton.
@Imaginenumber95 күн бұрын
I am a sister too so I know how brothers think. If your sisters husband plays guitar like Eric Clapton that would be something. I think maybe I am a novelty as a first gen fan but it is all fun. Thank you so much for supporting this little channel.

Patricia,I don't personally have a channel but I'm on my wife Janet's channel which I'm on right here and thanks for the call out,you're a true Beatles fan and I own that Paul McCartney Cavern Club video,it's very good!,I also own a Sgt'Pepper framed picture disc which is nice,I got that from my wife for a birthday present years ago,I'm not a collector like you but I have a couple of things,I use to have all the Beatle cards but they were thrown out when we moved when I was in grade 8,I wish I still had them and all my cards,mainly NHL hockey cards,some of them are worth a quite a lot of money today,oh well,easy come easy go! Thanks for the direction about Janets’ channel. I will look I lost a lot of stuff when I moved out to go to college. Somehow I managed to keep some of my original albums. How that happened I don’t know! You are welcome for the shout out. Happy Crimble!

First gen Beatles fan here, I've done several videos on my Beatles albums. I too can't stop buying Beatles stuff. I have SO many books, I'll never be able to read them all. I think those purple label Capitol with a hole punch were promo pressings? I tried ordering the Living in the Material World box set but my store never received their pre-orders. I did pick up the Barnes & Noble pressing also. Japanese BBC album is very cool! Good video, you have some great Beatles items.
@Imaginenumber95 күн бұрын
You have a massive channel and I do watch your content. You are right about Beatles books and being unable to read them all. I thought when I retired that would be no problem but boy was I wrong. I don’t think I mind not getting the George box set. If I am meant to have it then it will come my way. Thank you for tuning in to this little space , I so much appreciate communicating with like minded people.

Next time I am going to actually go to Target. I waited several days after release day for it to come in the mail. Then I was worried that it would not come so I went and picked up one more in person. Crazy. Thanks much for commenting and Happy Crimble to you.

I agree with the title! I bought the 2024 boxset, even though I already own a few original mono pressings. But I couldn't resist buying some shiny 'new' Beatles albums. Happy collecting!
@Imaginenumber96 күн бұрын
It is so hard to resist the new shiny things! The one thing I didn’t like about the box is that the albums aren’t sealed. I am kind of a stickler about that. They do sound nice so it is worth it. Thanks a lot for being part of the channel. ❤

@farrellmcnulty9096 күн бұрын
5:29 - Excellent, you got the blue one. I've already played it twice. Something New is the last one I need. I never liked the Early Beatles (thought it was a rip off compared to the much better Vee-Jay album and Please Please Me from the UK) and forget the Steatles BORE-y - uh, Beatles Story - yeah, that was boring, but the Hollyridge Strings music in the background was nice.
@Imaginenumber95 күн бұрын
Good that you are picking all of them up. Yes. The Beatles Story isn’t much of anything now except for cheesy but way back then when it came out it meant a lot. That was one of the only ways we could hear the Beatles voices whenever we wanted. So, because of that, I do have a soft spot for that record. I have heard some titles are harder to get already but I don’t know how true it is. I agree, Introducing the Beatles is better but I love them all. Thank you very much for commenting. I love to hear everybody’s thoughts and opinions.

Great stuff! I was wondering whether you'd get the US mono box set or buy the albums individually. My Beatles purchases for this month were limited to Sgt. Pepper 1st mono and Paul McCartney's Press to Play. I got way more from the Stones: UK debut album 1st press, No.2 UK 1st, Between the Buttons turquoise edition, Big Hits US 1971 stereo reissue and Bill Wyman's Rolling With The Stones book for about 7$! But my addiction calls for more. Right now I'm trying to decide between Beggars Banquet RSD coloured and More Hot Rocks glow in the dark, A Hard Day's Night 1st press or finally getting that Please Please Me 4th press.
@Imaginenumber95 күн бұрын
That’s what I need, an excellent Sgt Pepper first press mono. Did you get US or UK? The Stones are a good investment too. I have some nice ones of theirs but not all. I wouldn’t want to be in your shoes trying to decide what to spend your money on. My rule of thumb is how hard it is to get ? and is it the condition that you want? That guides me pretty much. You can’t pass up something really hard to get it more rare in the condition you want because you may not find it for a long time. Let me know what you do decide. Happy Crimble to you.
@gilgamesh_inpw4 күн бұрын
@@Imaginenumber9 I got a UK Pepper. It's rather flattened on the spine, but other than that I can't complain. I don't want to hear any other version of it now - the original is just superb. Apparently most original fans from the 60s prefer early albums like A Hard Day's Night or With The Beatles, so I'm really interested, what was your reaction and what did you think of Sgt. Pepper when it released? As for my decision I went for Please Plese me UK 5th mono with cut out corners, but apparently apart from that it's a VG+. And the record itself is fine too. I've wanted their debut for a long time now and with current vinyl prices this one is a bargain.

Yes they are on Amazon. “Vinyl Fever” outer sleeves 125 in a package. 3 ml. $27.99. I like them because they are thick enough for me. I don’t like overly thick outer sleeves. This is all I have been buying.
