Usually a belt blows like that, in long pieces, its from people driving at top speed, full overdrive. The belt gets into the bottom of the secondary clutch. The compression cogs rake over the pivot studs. The side of the belt runs across the transition from angle to straight up and down, in the bottom of the clutch. its trying to separate the compression section from the tension section, big strips tear off. An over heated belt blows into little bits, like in cog sizes of 1,2,3 pieces. The heat dislocates the rubber between the aramid fiber and the tension[outer] section and little bits and pieces everywhere. You can also tell high temperature when the belt greases the primary clutch, leaving black rubber streaks all over the faces. The belt popped but not from heat.

Well we did do some “drag racing” the previous time out hitting 70+mph. 🤷🏼‍♂️ it was delaminated/shredded like that in some places, but then a lot of 2-4” long chunks as well… didn’t know if I heated up some spots when my secondary was stuck open the other day and/or if I weakened the belt from it contacting the cover rolling to a stop. I did notice some rubber haze towards the top of the primary after this, but I don’t know if it happened during the blowout, or before.

At the 14min mark. I literally would have my mom jump the road at that spot, right above chris's parking spot.. 20yrs ago. Sleds were far from where they are now..
