Thanks, it was cool to test the same rig on 3 very different tracks!

Hell yeah the Kraton can perform on a track! I raced my K4 several times with the kit truggies and it's a beast. Put on some proper truggy track tires on there (same as yours actually) and it was a blast. The only problem was the slipper made turning a little wide and the frontend pushes pretty bad. The center diff in the 6S (or 4Sv2.5) should help.

@@GeddyRC nice! That’s cool to hear. A center diff would definitely help but it probably feels even better when you beat some race rigs with it haha.

Really just needs TLR hinge pin inserts, better Ackermann bar, and more tower mounting holes, and it should be a total racer.

@@wootwootjr that would help! Maybe lose a bit of weight too. TLR tuned Kraton to go with the Typhon anyone?🤔

Awesome video! I'm casually racing my Kraton/Talion mix and if you can drop yours diff/shock setup I would really appreciate it.

Thanks! That's cool, I'm glad to hear people are racing them and hopefully this video inspires more to join the fun. I actually haven't touched my Kraton shocks or diffs at all besides taking out some spring preload for a lower ride height. I did drop my Typhon to 5/10/5 in the diffs and that helped a lot on the track, so maybe around there or just a bit more would be a good place to start. I'd probably start somewhere around 40wt in the shocks and see how that feels.

Of course it can race, the Arrma Kraton is based off the Team Durango DEX8t which was an excellent truck. Pillow ball suspension, quick change diffs etc all created by team Durango and copied by everyone else. I’ve race my 2 kratons for years and done just fine. Truggy tires and body and it holds its own.

Good to hear I am not the only one! One goal for this video/title was just to help people realize that bashers can be raced. I have heard people not want to race because they don't have a "race" rig, but a tire change does wonders and more tuning could make them even better. It is also a lot of fun to beat the kit cars with a basher, haha.
