Can the Circuit Rhythm live loop?

I found paring the Rhythm with a lopper that had midi Sync (like the RC-5) was perfect since it made recording the loop form the pedal with the method youre shwoing much easier. And it allowed me to seamlesly move ny loops from the pedal to the Rhythm.

Very well presented, I am having trouble getting going with this very task, this is more helpful than any other video - or the manual! I didn't think of how helpful it would be to have a basic drum track (even just a click), before sampling a loop - off to get one programmed in now...

I use it with my THR, which has a noise gate option (which I normally don’t really like, but in this case is indeed very helpful). Problem I keep running into is that my projects have to many samples so there’s not much room for recording. Use it at home for jamming, don’t know if I’d use it live though…I often trim the recorded parts to correct the timing…so far for live looping 😂

Where was this video all my life. I use Novation Launchpad + Ableton (Bitwig since migrating to Linux) which is obviously a lot more powerful, but I was looking for a DAWless option and this seems more compelling than your standard guitar looper. Using just circuit seems a bit hack-y, and obviously less powerful than a DAW, but also closer to what I'm used to. I assume it's possible to map a record function on Circuit to a button on a midi foot controller, and use that instead of the tuner to effectively trigger recording?

i thought there was a period after recording when the sample is being processed? this seems to be one of the complaints about the circuit rhythm, but your samples record and play back instantaneously. how did you manage that?

Yes! So strange. When you stop playback the CR does take a second to process and save the sample but as long as you don’t stop playback it holds off. Maybe it’s using some temporary flash memory for real-time recordings and then commits to device memory later 🤔
