Can the DJI Avata 2 DIVE A WATERFALL???

Just bought the Avata 2 and am waiting for it to come in the mail. I’ve never even held a drone in my life but I’m super excited. I’m worried about stuff like this happening but there’s no waterfalls where I am 😅

I got mine two weeks ago and already got some amazing footage. Yesterday I did my first flight in manual mode and it was a very interesting experience. After flying I always feel the need for a walk to get rid of the excess adrenaline ;-)

It's a great beginner drone, but diving is unfortunately not one of its strengths. As soon as you'r comfortable flying in acro mode you should try the "FCC Hack" it makes the avata 2 a bit more punchy.

When you fly in Europe you must upload ham file to googles 3 and avata have full power. Its restricted power in Europe

I think the Avata was doing fine, you just kept getting more and more reckless with the poor thing.

I assume your in full manual mode with attitude turned off in the settings? Also is your speeds turned all the way up? It doesn't look like your ascending that fast when setting up for a dive, that may be why your lacking power, you'll find those options in the control settings , you also need a controller 2 or 3, not the stick, I assume you have that tho, it's the only way to go full manual, good luck man!!

Not sure if that’s what you mean 😅 but 60FPS and 1/120 Shutter Speed + ND Filter, ISO set to Automatic but limited to 1600.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Maybe you should have started higher on the waterfall and recover earlier. Maybe that waterfall was too small....

Would have been better just to focus on cinematic drop and low level flight rather than trying for last second pullup with a DJI. Build a 5 inch freestyle for that (but for this type of setting I wouldn't want to practice dives repeatedly in the hope of getting that edge of disaster flight).

@@fredifetz7073 Dunno if it has more power in dives, but i did the HAM file and it really feels like an other drone. Its like throttle 2x and way louder than before :D
