Call me crazy, but every time the map in OWB is expanded, I play Enclave reborn on the same path (I have never played the purist tree). It's basically the same game every time with more land to capture, but no matter what it's always really fun, definitely up there with Kaiserreich TNO and the Cold War mod as the best mods for the game.

Also befriend the s'lanter They support you for the ending, and you get two support divisions out of them. Recon and cavalry, the latter of which you aquire in a special event tree in The Divide, where the s'lanter basically kick the ass of and ultimately make war mounts of, the Tunnelers. Lots of cool stuff in the reformer path

As exhausted as this faction is in the main franchise as an over-the-top evil villain faction, I genuinely love the concept of a reformist Enclave. One who actually uses its technological superiority and imagery of the Pre-War United States to not commit global genocide but to actually help rebuild America alongside all those willing to join their cause, pure human or radiated wastelander. I'd kill to see this reformed Enclave continue to push eastward in a second manifest destiny until they reach the eastern coast, liberating more settlements and perhaps embracing the Minutemen and Brotherhood Outcasts as aids to their military and humanitarian efforts while rebuilding the commonwealths, all until they finally reach the capital city of Washington, DC and declare the United States of America to be finally reborn. An actual hopeful and inspiring ending to such a bleak and dismal series, a repentance of the Old World and maybe even a salvation of Earth itself.

While the reformist route was fun (and crazy hard), I actually liked the Purist route even better, since it basically forces you to go full wunderwaffe robots, power armour + airforce cuz you get so little manpower overall. With pure sweaty gaming mode constant pause micro and a LOTTA paradropping later you can cap NCR easy (hurray for poison the bear focus), and a long war against Caesar’s Legion (holding the hover river + air and paradropping BS) later the world is basically yours Unsurprisingly going full 40K in a post apocalyptic world is hard but crazy fun

And about the s'lanters, if you have allied with them before you complete a focus about reconstructing the silos in the divide, you can trigger an event where this tribe take care of the tunnelers and not ulysses and trust me, this method is much better, you unlock another support unit.

I love Reformist Enclave! It's exactly hard, but very rewarding. I also recommend playing the purist Enclave. It's easy at the beginning but gets extremely hard the more wars you have. Manpower is hard to come by, but likewise rewarding.
