Can the Hyper Tough Brushless Reciprocating Saw Compete? Test and Compare with Skil and Hercules

I have other hyper tough products- electric ratchet long head $60, short head $40, impact wrench 1000lbs $90, 500lbs impact wrench $50. All came with own batteries and charger included. They all do what I needed at fraction the price. other channels done testing on the above products and were a best budget buy. Not professional grade but for the average buyer do the job great at fraction the cost.

I have m12 fuel stuff as well as the m18 high torque. But those are for my home shop use. I have some ht stuff for my travel tools. Can’t go wrong with the price of the ht stuff for the performance you get.

I'd keep an eye out on skil stuff they go on sale alot specially the big combo kits and probably best bang for your buck tools.

I understand you used the 2ah battery on the HT because it came with it; however, it would be interesting to see if their 4ah can do 10 or dare i say, 15% better...

I may do a short video on the 4 AH battery with the recip saw. See if it makes any difference.

Hey zack i have a question why are you testing the hypertough with 2 amp hour battery and the skill with a 4 and hercules with a 5

Yes, like one of the replies stated, I tested them as kits. The Hercules doesn't come as a kit typically, but the saw recommends a 5 AH battery or greater. Even though the Hyper Tough only comes with a 2 AH battery, I have found that the Hyper Tough tools perform in a similar way with both the 2 AH and 4 AH batteries.

@@zacksintheshop Even if both 2Ah and 4Ah performed similar, I think you should have used 4Ah for HT. At least that way, the battery would get far less heat and could have prevented stops. IMO, I'd say that was unfair comparison no matter how you put it. Battery size MATTERS. That's why Hercules recommends bigger battery.

The 4 AH would have added $55 to the price of the Hyper Tough, making it the same price as the Skil set. I don’t think that would make sense from a buyers standpoint. That being said, there are many ways to do this test and each has a degree of merit. I understand you disagree with my method and that’s fine. I hope you were able to get some benefit from the video and I do appreciate the comment.

No hercules during the tree cut had a 5 amp hour and hypertough had a 2 amp hour
