I have to admit. I like the style of it at this point. I was skeptical but the chop is just right and the spare tires set it off. The skirts add to it as well. Might try Painless Wiring to see if they could help you with the rewire to get the lights, ignition etc. going on it. Actually love it. Thanks for the ride to see it get this far.

Screw Painless, but a fuse block some rolls of wire etc and have at it. You have a very simple car to wire.

Great job Chad! Love this so much. I am a sucker for the patina, as I create and paint vintage looking signs with rust. The roof chop and lower stance in the rear really add to the lines of the car.

Typically (I’ve done several interiors professionally) a pattern is nice to have to lower labor costs. Sometimes, you’re right, it’s too far gone. However, climbing around inside to pattern out a good fit can take several more passes to get it just right- or right enough depending. Save the stuff and let the interior person decide.

Been there with mice in the seats, I suggest taking off the upholstery, blowing out the springs and get them blasted powder coated. Get an upholsterer to reupholster the seats. Provide the old upholstery so they can use it as a template.

I’m afraid that boat has sailed. The car was beautiful when they got it, and would have been a relatively inexpensive, mechanical restoration. It falls into the survivor category. A mild cosmetic restoration might be reasonable. I don’t think it would be feasible to try and restore the roof and get those windows working again.

Hello Chad and Jolene, I love this car, your vision and talent and ease in the video! I have only commented once before as I feel you are always above par on the creative side! This car just strikes me to the core! My one suggestion would be to pull the front bumper in closer to the front fenders and/or possibly contour the bumper to the front of the car or maybe change it to two small bumpers contoured to each fender. Then maybe repeat the idea to the back bumper. Just to sleek it out a little more. LOVE this car!!! Love the rustic original but not feel. THANK YOU AS ALWAYS!!

Hey Chad, Jolene & Sweet Fina (snuggled in below the "On Air" sign) In 30 hrs your squirrely plans & ideas have had a good size following, good, bad or other.. Your vision and work is...truly...unparalleled sir! You have created a visually superior car, one that Bonnie & Clyde woulda' loved most certainly. I'm feeling that if you set the Ol' Hudson outside (with windows) and let Mother nature's Nova Scotia sister have at it.. to help with the patina progression....

Hey, been watching this build for a couple of days now.... love it... but, I believe if you mix a little black or charcoal color in with the clear coat.... ONLY FOR NEW PAINTED areas... it will solve the "color matching" problem so it doesn't scream... "I've been sorta matched with my paint.... " and it won't hurt anything, just like one drop of black in the clear coat... maybe 2 drops... but if you do 2 coats... LOL 2 drops it was... but only on "the new paint" an just regular clear on everything else... unless you like the clear going dark... LOL let me know... I hope you can use this info... cuz I'm full of info... LOL I'm a crafter... and sometimes... you really need a stencil for the "rust" look... it is what it is... stay you!
