We have been hearing a lot about Legato and how it stacks up to ProV1, so we decided to put it to the test. The 2024 Legato LTX 3085 is a 3-piece golf ball that offers better control and distance. To be fair on the driver shots, you pulled both Legato balls to the left with bad swings and hit the Titelist straight. I have both balls in my bag and other that the logos I cant tell them apart and Im a 10hc. The legato is also softer in compression than the Pro V1. But I understand everyone feels the ball differently with their individual swing. Its also cheaper to buy them on Amazon at 24.99 a dozen rather than from the company. Pro V1 has been the bench mark for so long, but they really arent the best golf ball out there anymore.

2.6 index here tried the legatos for the first time yesterday first hole short par 5 just over 500 yards and I had 153 yards in hit it to three feet with a nine iron made eagle! That was sold for me as I am not normally that long great first impression ball performance was great for the entire round on par or better than prov or the Penta or max flu black I was previously using previously they also seem to go straighter for me as they spin less off the driver but sit soft and zip in the greens! Amazing for $29.99 retail!

For those reading this during prime days...19.99 for a dozen of the legatos. A very solid ball at that price point. They limit you to one box at that price, but I discovered i could get two by buying one white, one yellow box. You are welcome.

Did the same thing. Wasn't pumped to buy yellow balls, but the pearlescent finish actually looks great in the sun

I’m a 5 hcp…. And have been using Legato (yellow) all year… and I did tons of ball testing… legato holds up against any and every ball out there.

I’m a fan of both balls. I don’t see a major difference in the two. I’m an 8 handicap and driver the ball in the 270’range on average. I love the Legato. It’s a sold choice. For me. The legato stops on the greens better than the pro v1 or x.

I agree! I actually switched to the Legato after using doing this video. Love the way it holds a green.

I switched to Legato’s a few months ago and love them! Able to put lots of spin around the green with soft feel for putting. I am a decent golfer (8 H.I.) and can’t justify higher cost of Pro V1 or Pro V1x

I've been buying them off Amazon with a monthly subscription price. My only problem with the Legato is durability. After 18 holes, the ball is well on its way to looking brown. It has good spin, and good distance for the price.

I don't find this to be a fair review at all. At this time I can get a box of Legato's for $26. That's half... If you can afford the Provost go for it! For those of us who are looking for an alternative the Legato is a great ball!

Absolutely agree! We used the Legato some more after the video and I’ve actually switched to the Legatos. Great balls, and their performance around the greens are outstanding. Maybe even better than the ProV1s

@@CloudNineGolf I kinda of had the same reaction as you guys. First time I used them I didn't like them off the tee but by my next round I liked them much better off the tee and the short game was already great with these balls.

This is a Great ball for the money…they make two versions 3085 and 4090 most players will play the 3085 because of spin numbers and feel around greens… Amazon sale to regular price is $25 to $29 a dozen … NOT a good ball for Hybrid users or driving irons and 3 and 4 irons unless you swing slow and down on ball but if you play traditional fairway Woods Driver- 4 -3-5-7 it is GREAT …. Launches. A bit low with Lower lofted irons and hybrid unless you swing slower.

I haven't found the 4090 anywhere available. Decoding their model number, I'd expect the 4090 to be a 4 piece 90 compression ball, since the 3085 is a 3 piece, 85 compression ball.
