Just leaving too much on the table. Big plays missed, a lot of flags that need to be cleaned up. I think they’ll need a lot cleaner game against MN. Vikings running hot right now and their coming off a big W against SF and another Shanahan scheme. Should be a good game!

Couldn’t agree more on Tank. He’s here to catch balls, not run sprints. Not to mention, Diggs isn’t going to be here next year and they need to keep letting him grow.

Cody, what happened with Bobby Slowick? He started out strong show creativity, moving people around, showing the defense. Then half way through the first quarter his offense became very bland. He needs to turn the offense loose but it looks like he’s playing not to lose instead of playing to win

Hey Barkley had a drop that cost them the game. Continue to give Akers his chances. And use the TEs more.
@Grinders713Ай бұрын
That’s the big question on offense. Why are we leaving out the TE. I think that’s what made the pass open up because it sure wasn’t the run last year.

Achers had a 300 lb lineman hit the ball with the crown of his helmet that could have happened to any of the running backs.

Tunsil needs to earn his salary by first remembering the snap count. Akers fumble was a helmet on the ball which quite often causes fumbles.

Center health is an issue. Scruggs groin is typically multi-week. JPatt strained his calf early, stayed in and extended it. I told you about those calf injuries -- everybody who had one didn't make the team. They're persistent buggers. So we're already down to OC3 in Week 3. Like I said, we were forced to draft centers low in a bad center draft after we spent our high picks on CJ and Will. Gonna have to address it again and it's a spotty FA & draft class there.
@codystoots1Ай бұрын
Scruggs gonna go you feel okay about it?
@119dozen55sweetАй бұрын
Not at all. Grade I groin tear is a 3-4 week injury, starting him was just going to limit him and extend it to a Grade II. I don't gamble but my friends who do got rich this week -- MIN +2 was my play of the year. OL is Nick's next rebuild. Tytus has zero drive to be great, which is why Blake Fisher was drafted. Obvious need to those in the building. Need a Center. Need to be open to another OG and then OT next year or two. And Strausser had no experience as a Shanahan OL coach, I think DeMeco or Bobby will need to replace him.

The Rushing attack! The Colts game, I’m beginning to believe was fools gold. Colts gave up 128 yards to GB in the first half last week. Against the Bears we reverted to last years Texans. It wasn’t as simple as we were missing Juice. I have 2 legitimate questions. Next year, even if Slowik is here or not, should the Texans hire an experienced guy in the run game as a run game coordinator? The other is, this line often lacks an aggressiveness and physicality. Could this be an issue of them following LT’s lead? LT concerns himself more with Pass protection and complains about not being named All Pro, but he is one of the most penalized Left Tackles in the game and doesn’t seem to realize that run blocking is also a consideration in that vote, which is why Trent Williams is named every year. Could he actually be setting a bad example with his actions, the rest of the line is following?
@codystoots1Ай бұрын
Might have been fools gold indeed. Nah that’s an overrated position. Nah they’re a tough crew.

Akers , Brooks & 33, thats it, however much they can produce, hopefully they surprise positively

@@codystoots1 I agree, but evidently there is nothing else to opt from, that is all there is, R1&R2 are broken. Or are u suggesting for Nick to go to the store? Is it legal?, IDK....
@Y0y0_77Ай бұрын
I really think losing Joe Mixon so suddenly affected play calling. I think the offense was looking solid (minus penalties) in the first half, once the bears didn’t have to respect Mixon and the run, they were able to dial up more pressure on CJ. Pass protection has to get better though. Need to see improvement these next few weeks for sure.
@codystoots1Ай бұрын
Yeah I can believe that.
@LookB4ULeapАй бұрын
We are starting to see what playing a #1 schedule looks like. Weaknesses are more in the spotlight and strengths are maybe not as consistent, except for CJ7. The fact that we have played 2 good teams and gutted out wins says a lot to me about this team’s grit. Don’t forget that KC won the Superbowl after going 10-7 last year. We aren’t going to dominate every week, and we could be on the wrong side of some hard losses. But if we can win the division I like our chances to go deep into the playoffs

The chances of winning division are high.
