In today's detail I have a filthy, nasty and a Disaster detail. This Toyota Matrix was just sitting around and also had flood damage. So my question is can car like this be detailed or brought back to life. All the carpets and seats were cleaned and detailed more than 2 times even 3 times at some point. You learn as you go, and when customers want their vehicle before you can rest and complete it, it is frustrating. You did a fine job, and I love watching these and learning what I can do to better my interior.

On cars like these where there’s something around every corner be careful with sharp objects ! I had a car where I found about 10 razors blades in the most random spots. Also, unless your extractor is top notch and has very strong suction, be careful with over saturating seats/carpets with water/chemicals. Residing water can cause mold, and chemicals can activate later on and whiten the seat as the suds come up.

Yes I was worried about that, so that’s why I extracted as much as possible off camera. And yes now when I detail cars I look very carefully for any sharp objects. Ive seen people find very weird stuff and I thank God for his protection!!

Great job! I love the angle you used in extracting the back seat. I hear ya on the under quoting. I feel I do that as well, but it’s tough when you’re just starting out.

Yup that car was gross. The smell was bad too but couldn’t just return the vehicle half done so I did my best. Thank You!!

Actually this detail was only interior. The customer was shipping this car overseas and didn’t want the exterior .
