I don't normally comment, but I'm annoyed and sadly unsurprised that there are people in the comments taking it so hardcore seriously. I play with my friends all the time and I know even during basic games just trying to farm sometimes I can't keep a stream of thought going, let alone in Arena where you're trying to, like you said, absorb a load of information while formulating thoughts IRT to the game AND be entertaining. The mental stack is insane and I applaud you everytime I watch a vid. I won't tell you to ignore the comments since that defeats the point, but just know that myself and my friends appreciate you, at least. Also, any loser that's mad about suboptimal gameplay can just play on the PBE themselves if they're so pressed about it.

I'll admit, passing on the 'W' cooldown buff hurt me inside a little because I do love me some Rammus. But that being said, I'd never post negatively about it. In part because who cares if you're enjoying yourself (which is the point), and also because I'm not watching (have been for years) your videos for high level gameplay. Ross, always remember, comment sections are bias. People only say something when they have something to say. All of us who love your content for the casual and chaotic nature of what it is sir back and enjoy and don’t remember to comment every video. At the time of writing this you have 750+ likes, and 176 comments. That means that even if every comment was negative, less than 20% of everyone who has engaged with the video thought something negative. The other 80%.. and likely more, just think, if we use views instead this video is at 14k right now, meaning 176 “mean” comments is 1% of your watchers The other 80-99% of us are happily watching, happily enjoying. My recommendation to avoid negative comments is as follows: 1. Don't respond to negative comments. Showing that you're reading them and it's affecting you is a surefire way to get more of them since you're feeding the trolls and the attention-hungry. 2. Don't make absolute statements. For example, "there was nothing I could do" or "this is unwinnable." This draws out the sort of people that will scan the video frame-by-frame to prove that there was something you could have done. 3. Don't fish for pity too often. While it's an easy ego boost every once in a while, doing it too much results in losing the good commenters or at least the ones willing to put up the facade. Viewers are a parasocial relationship, and people that settle with parasocial relationships tend to be socially maladjusted. This means getting any sort of community or following through things like Twitch or KZbin will result in an abnormal percentage of people that won't know how to communicate thoughts in socially acceptable ways.
