In terms on playing style they're similar, both left footed, low centre of gravity and great change of direction. However, although I believe Salah is a fantastic player who can only get better; comparing him to Messi is unfair and unjustified. Even if Liverpool win the champions league it is not a fair argument, Messi will go down as the best player ever and is head a shoulders above the rest.

It's his versatlity that gets him compared, When you watch Salah he can play anywhere along a front line equally, you can start him on the right or left and he can still come from any direction, his switch play is outstanding. As opposed to someone like harry cane, who is still a world class centre forward, but he will only play as a CF. Kane needs players to get him set up and into scoring positions, All salah needs is players to keep defenders occupied while he sets up and scores his own goals. Stats only prove so much but I would ay making comparisons to Messi is actually fair, he really is that good. If he can keep it up for years, thens a different story, but as of right now, hes the next best player to Messi, in that role.
