Can We Beat CHIMPS With Only the Mermonkey and Boomerang?

The Mermonkey is the newest Monkey to BTD6 and we're going to try to a 2 Tower CHIMP (2TC) run with it and the 5-0-2 Glaive Lord. The Mermonkey is known for the buffs it gives to other monkeys and its crazy stalling potential with the bottom path. We'll be getting the Final Harmonic to de-camo the bloons and make them revolve around the Glaive Lord, letting him do even more damage than usual.

It's like the bottom path Mermonkey was created specifically to combo with the Glaive Lord, and I'm glad it's. Between the buffs last patch and now this new powerful combos, Glaive Lord has never been this strong.

It would pull bloons from within range, stalling them, before spitting them back on the track where they were - and could repeat on the same bloons. It was one of the most powerful towers in the game, and was a staple for many challenging maps/high round strats etc

I really like pairing the final harmonic with sauda, a glue gunner and a wall of fire. Put the shell on top of sauda and she does crazy damage at high levels especially if you alch+village her

Final harmonic is actually bugged rn, its only supposed to detonate DOT on a bloon once per song, but this doesnt currently apply to the BAD, meaning every glaive was getting the insta DOT useage instead of only the first.

*DISCOVERY* I just did some experiments and you can chinook the Mermonkey away from the beast handlers fish while keeping the beast. This would normally sell a boat or sub but since the beasts arent a sellable tower they stay and cant be repositioned regardless of where the mermonkey is moved to, its just stuck there forever.

A fun fact about the mer monkey: when the mer monkey is placed on water he gets more range and he gets shorter range she placed on land so to fully utilize him I recommend using him on maps with a lot of water. Hope this helped!😊

You likely might have been able to get away with putting the mermonkey in the water just left of the the glaive lord and rely on the conch to put it on the glaive lord. That way the conch and tridents would have extra range.

How exactly does the dot detonation aspect work? From my testing, the dot just stops ticking when a moab enters the song, I thought that it would work like that the dot would do the remainder of the damage it would've done had it not been for the song ( ex. GL dot does 100 per second, for 15s, which would be 1500 in total, so it should just instantly do 1500 damage), but it didn't do it for me, then again, I've only been playing for a couple of hours and already came across 3 separate bugs, this update is quite unpolished, lol

its because the mermonkey constantly tries to activate the ability but cant because the bad is immune, every time he attempts the whirl the dot explosion happens but it dosent go on cooldown so he spams it, currently its a very op bug, and works even better with bloon solver.

So sad I spent like an hour attempting this exact same 2tc yesterday but got stuck at r95 trying all sort of positions like the bottom right and bottom left for the spinning orbital thing. ended up giving up edit: the mermonkey doing that much damage to the BAD is a bug by the way. the DOT damage should only happen once per orbital but for some reason it happens multiple times per spin to BADS doing insane damage to the BAD which is why round 100 was so easy
