Came back making some notes too, It came to mind, blessing the LORD for me is like great gratitude from the heart, i will bless the Lord, all thats within me, ps 103:1-5 and to love the Lord with all our heart Deut 6:4 & Matt 22:37 . Simular like a young child cannot bless a dad like a Father can, but the Fathers heart delights when the child joyful humbly loves and thanks the father, loving relationship, He blesses us in the same way ❤ Theres no other love and no otherway then through👑 Yeshua ❤

I believe when God blesses us, He supports and sustains us rather than giving us "gifts." When we "bless" God, we are (hopefully) offering Him OUR support by faith in Him.

Yes, many thanks indeed todah rabah! Psalm 84:6 speaks of the "pool" as blessing - water as life is a blessing indeed to us

If haShem loves his creation, and wants us to return His love back to Him, then does it not make sense that as we obey His mitzvot and offer praise and thanksgiving to Him, that His heart would be warmed and filled with joy because of our response to Him? Is that not His desire? Then if we love him as the first commandment says, and we obey His mitzvot, won't this bring a blessing to Him? I of course understand that He is the Almighty, all sufficient one, and does not need anything from us, but never-the-less, because of His nature and His love, wouldn't He be blessed?

Thank you so much for this teaching! I have been struggling with this very thing. We (I) use words simply because they have become common to our ears, but we really do not have a clear understanding of the meaning of the words. I, too, have asked, "How can someone bless YHWH?"

can Gen1.1 and Gen 1.2 be understood as two separate sentences grammatically? It seems strange God created something that is inherently bad as described as hovu vavohu (formless and void). However, If v1 and v2 can be understood as two separate independent sentences with a full stop in between, one can interpret there was a time gap between v1 and v2, during which something bad had happened to God’s creation such as some angels had become rebellious and therefore fallen, the result of which caused the creation to turn formless and void. Is it a viable way to read?

David's name without the yud/yod [ דוד ] is the old biblical Hebrew and David's name WITH the yod [ דויד ] is the modern Hebrew spelling. Am I correct?

I see, I Got it that's why IN the Book Job it used the root word ברך instead of קלל. When, Hasatan told God that when if Job diminish from the blessings of God he will surely curse you יְבָרֲכֶך (will bless God; by making him to surrender on his knee) which is a blasphemy in classical hebrew.

I look at what the ancient Hebrew tells us about a word. ברך. It appears to me as 'the hand of the head house' or what we are given from the world. This seems to be what we think of as being blessed by G-d. It may also be the name of the connection between the world and us. So, in active verb form, we are receiving from the hand of the primary home.

in Genesis Melchizedek sais "Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possesor of heaven and earth; And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand." in this context isnt the High priest of the God Most High blessing both. did not the Lord say in Leviticus I Am Holy their for you shall be Holy and if we are considered Holy and also made if the image of He can we not also give praise and Blessings to our Father who has intern blessed us with His grace. Grace for grace. Amen

Why do the Hebrew people refuse to mention the name of our god?
@jehovajah

Bless is not a Hebrew concept.. The Hebrew concept as you point out is to do with kneeling or or more accurately bending the knee. There are other words which show that bending the knee or bending the body down to the ground is part of our inherited approach to Yehovah . It all starts with Abraham. However the first bending of the knee was done by Yehovah to the seventh day or Shabat. It is an example for us to follow as sons of Elohim . So we actively bend our knees or we receive the bending of knees from others including Yehovah . But also the passage indicates whether we do something voluntarily or involuntarily. So we more often than not our involuntarily bending I knees to Yehovah how to show awe❤️❤️ you can find out where the idea of blessing comes from.
@jehovajah
@jehovajah 4 жыл бұрын
The idea is very simple and primitive: it is a command to respond by bending your knees. This means to get down to the ground will get lower in height by bending the knee not just by inclining the head door bowing from the waist. So we do not bless witches another Hebrew rather we submit and prostrate before him. But at the same time Yehovah I he is willing and able to bend his knee to us witches to come down from his great height to our level to do things for us at our level! So as he says he will bend down to protect and defend us and he will raise up to scatter his enemies who are our enemies and in this manner he will bring us to a peaceful completion. Yes Yehovah is a man or a husband of war, and his breast plate and armour is very shiny like the mirror armour of the Persians and he is willing to bend down and protect and defend this razor and scatter his enemies around. Us.
