Can We Clap Along to Worship Songs During Worship?

II. Can we clap along to worship songs during worship? I have seen at other churches of Christ churches and church of Christ schools clapping during their worship. Do we not do that here because it is our preference or is it actually wrong?
A. Eph 5:19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;
1. Speaking: lalountes: to utter words, talk, speak
2. Psallo: emphasis on heart
B. Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

Instruments and clapping was in the OT, but not the NT. So, how can we say no to instruments but yes to clapping--both are wrong. Can't add to

Ugh, this actually makes me sad. God who came down in human form and died so that you may have freedom and joy through his blood, and you've locked away your freedom and joy. In fact, Revelation 2:1-7 ironically actually speaks to the Church of Ephesus, the very church this sermon's passage was taken from. Though you hate the deeds of the world, you've lost your first love.

Mountain Creek Church Of Christ, you are all aware that other church of christ people like The One Cuppers, Lone Grove Ministry, and Apologetics Press condemn your souls to hell for applauding at baptisms, right? And they use the same flawed reasoning against applause in the way that you and them use to demonize mechanical instruments and handclapping to the beat of the song (not to mention using Leviticus chapter 10, the gopher wood and many other verses taken out of their context to make them a pretext about God getting mad at 'additions' in the church).

Stoney ascension That's a good question are they doing the will of the father? or are they doing the will of man? are they worshiping the way God wants to be worshipped comma or the way man wants to worship God? 2John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. Are there any scriptures that show the Lord's Church being blessed that wasn't doing the will of God? For I can find none. But I am not the teacher.....
