Here on my channel, I am renovating a 250 year old stone cottage on my property in Normandy, France. By using traditional, low-waste and off-grid methods, I'm aiming to keep the charm and character of this old building, and turn it into a furnished, finished home for family whilst keeping environmental impact as low as possible. There will also be content on living in France, visiting beautiful rural places, hunting for antiques, gardening, and more! Hit subscribe if you would like to keep up with my journey, and hit the notification bell to be alerted when we go LIVE where we have a first viewing of the video as it is published with a live chat so I can answer all your questions! See you in Sean's World.

One of the things I love about your channel is that you don't drown out the natural sounds with music. I like music, but when I am watching renovations or gardening, I am happy with just hearing the sounds of tools, work, birds and nature. I don't need loud musical soundtracks. Thanks for the natural sounds, they are peaceful.

Sean, my husband and I love your NY hat. We live in Upstate NY, in the heart of the Finger Lakes. Most people, when they hear we live in NY, think we live in the city. Definitely not! We’re 6 hours from the city and while I’ve visited NYC many times, my husband never has. I grew up on a family owned small farm and spent my summers on the hay wagon. We live out on the country now, with no close neighbors. We love both your channels and never miss a video. Thank you for all you do. 💜

Where you live and grew up sounds lovely. I live about thirty to forty minutes outside the city. My town used to have plant nurseries, orchards and even a small farm or two near it when I was young. I never cared for the city. You could get to the city for Christmas, museums or work but it felt almost like you were in the country. Unfortunately, the city is coming to us… and the taxes!!! 🤯 Plus, we can’t even have a bird feeder since our neighbor threatened to sue!🤪 😂🫣😂

@@Seans_World Yes, it is! Also, a friend of ours who is also a lawyer specializing in property law said they had a good chance of winning the case. We might also have had to pay for their lawyer and damages for the “loss of use of their patio (due to bird poo I guess). It was only one, just one tube feeder with just four feeding holes! It is bonkers in “my neck of the woods”. They are the same neighbors who blocked the town from giving us a permit to build a backyard fence our (154 pound) dog. Now we only have that ugly construction and deer fencing. Luckily, Finbar respects it. 😅

I keep my rural retirement property natural as well. I do have rescued chickens, ducks & goats + gardens & orchards, pastures & woods on my 12 acres... I love your garden ideas. I do think getting the farmer to take away all the straw from the hay loft is such a waste of a natural garden product though. What a great mulch!! And, it's free!! Make garden paths out of it. Put cardboard down with the straw/hay on top to break the weed cycle in an area and then create a new garden bed with wanted/beneficial plants. So much potential for it.
