Rest assured my friend, not only did they make an incredible amount of Xterras during their run time, they don’t hold many or any of the features “most popular” today. Namely all the stupid comfort features that break in a month and can only be (allowed) to be fixed by “certified” techs at the dealership (or your 3 hr warranty will be void😊) It’s truly sad they’re not NOT more expensive because there are to many people think they’re saving the planet by commuting in an electric car they cannot charge when their climate gets 3 times the snow of their late record setting winter. Damn this hurts to watch. I have an 2003 black xterra with 231,000 miles with the 3.3 V6 and it still runs great. These SUVs are basically indestructible if you change the fluids regularly and the top speed run wouldn’t be very interesting it only tops out at 97 as the speed limiter. If I were you guys I would keep the thing as they are very reliable especially for the 300 dollars you paid. I bought mine new from the dealer and no major issues other than the regular maintenance.

After I watched this video I went out and got myself a first gen xterra it’s been a year now and everything I saw in this video holds up it’s off-roading capabilities and durability are far better than most new trucks! I took it through a 4 ft deep mud puddle complete stock with no isssue so I pushed it even further and floored it in reverse through the same puddle and made it 😂 I did blow a hub but the damn truck still got me home 👌

You dont need to put it in neutral to put it in 4x4 high, you can just pull the lever back. 4 low you have to put it in neutral

Just make sure if you have an 05-10 then replace the faulty radiator and trans cooler or else you'll end up with a strawberry milkshake in your transmission with almost no warning

ahh, I remember my first woods beater. Just wait until you weld the rear, its night and day. Just make sure when you weld it, clean the oil residue off (brakleen works fine). And pre heat the gears. A torch works good, you will see the oil sweating out of the metal. That should help it last longer. Seeing the life its going to have, you'll need it to be strong. I took my 2001 3.3l 4wd off a jump at 40mph landed about 40 ft away, got about 5 ft high and the frame didn't bend. Ive also beat it to death on the whoops, overheated it, had a couple of late oil changes, and it still wont die. Im definitely rebuilding it once it dies.

I bought a 2002 Mitsubishi montero sport AWD with 4x4 its my daily driver and i gotta tell you that suv will and does go threw everything! I was surprised!!! It was built for off roading and trails all i had to do to it was put better tires on it when i bought it for $1,200 !! This was a couple years ago and its still running and driving today! Perfect daily driver and off roader all in one. Very happy with it. 💪😉👍

if you hit that jump at 40mph in a car the landing will make air shoot out of the tires and bottom out the suspension to were the underside hits the ground can get a sore back if you don't brace for impact.
