I think he meant confusing it by sight, intending to go for mayo and accidentally ending up with miracle whip. I've done that when I was really tired. If you don't read the label you might not realize you picked up the miracle whip until you taste it.

No kidding. Miracle Whip is tangier and a bit sweeter. I should know since it was the only thing I could eat for decades. Every mayo on the market until several years ago contained cottonseed oil as a primary ingredient which I was allergic to. So did margarine so I used real butter all the time. So glad they stopped using it because I prefer mayo in tuna or chicken salad.
