Can we fix our broken NARROWBOAT pump? | EP 5

In this episode of The Floating Home we return from our festival and have to face the reality of the broken water pump. We decide to try and fix it ourselves but to even begin we need to find the hidden valve to stop a big water leak! Lauren is feeling a little poorly so Adam makes her a green juice to build her energy!

Lol, I paused the video (in quiet frustration) when I saw you attempting to crimp the connector with pliers. Once I crafted my well-intended rant about using the correct tool, I hit play...only to see you switch to (my least favorite type, yet still very effective) the correct tool. Original message deleted, after a giggle and a smile. I will repost my first sentence, though. I love your new channel, your content and your willingness to take on DIY projects! Hi ... brilliant little video .. got a little tip for you ... when your next buying some bits for the boat get some extra valves and cut one in somewhere a bit more assessable so if you have any troubles In the future then you can get to it a lot quicker .

Yeah, really good that you have a cutting and crimping tool. Really excellent, beyond that, that you are taking an interest in doing the work yourself - thanks for showing us the step-by-step. Not seen the colour coordinated markings. Did you strip down and re-purpose the pump motor ?

Brilliant to see as you "overcame" plumbing issues :-) Next time you are shopping get some PTFE tape for the pipe joints where they connect, also some Menthol Crystals to help un bugn you when feeling blocked noses etc, just a few crystals in an old pot cup so as you do not mistake it n drink!!
