Great video. Well done in getting what you could out of the ground before the rain. Pity you can’t salvage some of what’s left behind with a harrow or plough and a few hours picking into that new Quicke Loader bucket… Keep up the good work.

@billabong9215
@billabong9215 10 ай бұрын
Lots of people don't unless you can be sure it'll dry in a few hours. When you wash things, you might blow all the grease out of bearings and they'll rust, by the time he comes back around to using it again, they'll be shagged. Water can sit in places and rust panels and stuff.

Keep your eye out for a twin row thyregod harvester. Squeeze wheels so dont need tops. Sow it on the flat, no drills and roll it. Grand smooth field to travel and no worries with leaves lost to frost

If the harvester is so fussy in relation to pulling different size beets is there a machine similar to a potato harvester where it just gets under the crop, cutting the tops off may be the issue though.

Nothing in farming is lucrative proposition. With beef cattle buying them as calves, it takes 2 years to produce them for slaughter look how much the market can change in 2 years. Milking cattle now a lot of farmers are struggling to get by, and 6 months ago you were making a profit. Arable farmers they normaly buy seeds, fertiliser and sprays a year ahead of when they harvest, so by the time they cultivate the land and drill the seeds, thain harvest, dry and store the grain, again the farmer has to put all this investment out there and PRAY and HOPE that when the grain, vegetables, frute, milk, beef is ready to be sold months or years down the line that the market is good for us to make any money.
