Haha Cold As Ice by Foreigner got it in ONE I missed the livestream, but I’m telling you that us old folks are the ones who haunt KZbin so of course we’re gonna know it all 😅 classic rock-wise Kali Uchi-I’m impressed! Yeah 21st century music puts me on the struggle bus for sure… OMG your shirt is ICONIC ❤

The drummer of the band I played in back in high school was a member of the Meat Puppets so I have a soft spot for them. Backwater is their favorite song of mine.

I didn’t know Heardle was back! Spotify bought it and killed it, I thought. But Bandle is fun! Appreciate the info!

That Foreigner riff is maybe "inspired" by My Old School. Also, John Prine (rhymes with line) is a total legend, who hired a friend of mine as his bass player

From 2008? Man I hardly know any music from 2008. Guess I'm getting old. 😁

Hi Justin! I really enjoyed the Christmas Eve livestream! I think you might like Supergrass. They were/are an Oxford band and one of my favourite groups from the Britpop era. Try "I'd Like to Know", which is the first track from their first album, "I Should Coco".

I am too old for MIA or Taylor Swift - I heard the names but for sure no song. But Rod Stewart I would have known :D And you were close with Beatles as the melody of the second part of the song is taken from Don't Let Me Down. And Foreigner :) The Meat Puppets song I would have known because of Nirvana.

John Prine (rhymes with Fine) is one of the greatest singer/songwriters of all time and deserves your attention. I also have to say I'm shocked that you aren't more familiar with Creedence. It's hard not to have heard them - some of their songs are so iconic that you simply hear them everywhere.

Ty David- haven't really covered Creedence, but I'll do something soon :)

I'm absolutely hopeless at this kind of thing. I remember one quiz night in the Ivy House, Sunderland, where the 'intros' round carries as many points as all the others put together and thinking 'I recognise this one, I've got it on CD, it's by one of my favourite bands and it's a stand-out track on the album'. Fifteen minutes we were given to put our answers in and did I get it? Fifteen years and it wouldn't have made any difference. XTC - Statue Of Liberty. Oh, the language that ensued...
