Nice stove, we have a Harman P45 that we got couple of years ago. I was going to hook up the fresh air vent but the company that I bought it from said not a good idea as it's rot's out the stove with dampness and has not worked well for them in the past. Not sure about your setup, as having a log home, you don't have much fresh air as the logs are super tight. Anyhow just a thought, keep an eye on it, see if yours is rusting and or disconnect the fresh air hose at the end of the season so no moisture gets into the stove. Our stove does about 2500 sq ft of heat, the furnace only kicks on when we are not home or it drops to minus 20 deg Celsius. Keep up with the daily/weekly/monthly maintenance!

I am on year four of my pellet stove. Two years to break even. My alternate heating fuel is oil so it is saving me thousands every year. Clever move using the HVAC recirculator for heat distribution!

I'm on my first year with it.. but so far its doing a great job. I'm estimating about $1800-2000 in overall savings this winter. Once we get our tax credit.. I'm guessing we'll be at the break-even point in year two. The HVAC system wasn't planned.. but it just happened to work out perfectly for our situation.

Nice stove Joe. You're going to be very happy with it I got the smaller absolute 43 last winter and have been very pleased. These absolutes seem to be very quiet. The 7 day programmable thermostat and wireless room sensor were the biggest selling points for me.

Definitely loving it. Its in the low 20s this morning and our entire 2400sf home is warm. Our primary heating system hasn't even turned on this year yet. Our primary heating system is electric - heat pump. The cost of electricity is $.31 per kwh this year.. and we'd normally use about 1800-2000 kwh per month during the winter. Using the stove for heat.. we'll only use about 600-700 kwh per month now. Huge savings. :)

Nice. The pellet stove is a real game changer. Its my first one.. and its only been installed for about 3 weeks.. but I'm loving it so far. My heat pump system has literally been turned off for weeks. The stove has been enough to keep the whole house warm even on the nights it dropped below 30. And I've only used about 6 bags of pellets so far this season.

The auger is the issue with these. When the motor breaks down they are very expensive to replace.

We heat 1500sf with a Harmon p68. Works great except for motor noise from the fans and auger. I've researched for over a year for solutions and have found none. No-one makes quiet motors. The trend for pellet stoves seems to be that they're great, if they're in the basement where you can't hear them. These days we mostly use a propane furnace for primary heat. I doubt I'd ever buy another petite stove.

This is my first stove. I love it. I don't find it loud at all unless we crank the blower up to high.. which is way too much for my liking. We've found that keeping it on low.. in quiet mode is the best option.

If you want a super quiet stove then I'd recommend the Lopi Deerfield Pellet Stove. It is super nice and very quiet. Heats our 1600sq ft house with no problem. Haven't turned on oil at all.

One small issue we had was the fresh air intake was sweating pretty bad. We just installed a Absolute 63 2 days ago. We went to Walmart and bought some rolled 1” thick foil faced insulation from frost king and wrapped the intake with it and foil taped it too, seems to have solved the issue. I’m thinking we will get about 1 and a half months to a ton average on a 2200 sq ft 1863 built house that’s pretty well insulated. I’m sure we can improve on some things but so far very happy with it. It’s a learning process. We don’t have any duct work.

Hi. I plan to do an updated video after the new year.. when I've had it for a few months. Its been a pretty mild season so far, but I can say, that on the handful of days when the temps dipped to 30 degrees... the stove has kept our entire home comfortable.. and we've only had to use it on the lowest heat setting. My initial impressions after about a month of using it.. this is one of the best home investments I've ever made.

The first few burns from new.. we had some smell. Now it’s pretty much odorless. There might be a very faint smell.. but if there is.. I honestly can’t notice it.

Pellet stoves are great if it doesn't really get cold. What's the coldest temperature you've experienced? I've been hitting my house with a pellet stove for 12 to 13 years and I haven't burned a drop of heating oil and over six years

Well.. I'm 52 years old and lived in MA my entire life. A few weeks ago we had the lowest temps I can ever remember. We hit -12 degrees (actual temps) with a wind chill of -45. The stove was enough to keep the house pretty comfortable. We did turn on the heat for a brief time to help warm up the opposite end of the house where the bedrooms are.. but we could've done ok without it too. My wife made me do it.. lol. Other than that one night.. I haven't used my heating system all winter. This is my first season with a stove...

I live in northern Maine and I remember the cold and wind chills that night and the entire weekend.. the feels like temperature up here was - 60. I got up Saturday morning and it was only 53 degrees in my house with the pellet stove on full blast🥶. The whole weekend was freezing. Mind if I ask how cold your house got?

@@fastfireworks3177 Our home is brand new.. and its very well insulated. So that probably helps a lot. The main room where the stove is located was very comfortable. Around 75-76 degrees. The bedrooms are on the opposite end of the house.. and the stove has kept it comfortable all winter.. but on that super cold weekend the bedrooms probably dropped to 67-68 degrees. My wife pushed me to turn on the heat just to warm up the bedrooms before bed.. which I did. We ran the heat from about 9:00pm that night.. till about 10:00am the following morning. Definitely would've been fine with just the stove if that was our only option tho.

Pellet stoves do not require a fire wall behind it, only under it. They are not hot to the touch. They only require 1" clearance (tho I have enough space to get behind it and work on it if it were ever necessary. That said.. I do intend to put a stone face on the wall at some point. I just haven't gotten around to it yet. We just built the house 2 years ago and I still have some things I wanna get done.

Uh I am not being funny but it looks like theres actual sparks from the fire coming out of the hot air blower fan at the top? That shouldnt be possible as the air inside the fire and the air blown by the fan should be seperate. If not you may be blowing carbon monoxide into your room as well as sparks? Can you double check your vent piping is not blocked etc???

It operating fine. No issues here. Its a brand new install. The venting is not blocked. This video was taken after the very first night with the stove. It was professionally installed by a reputable installer. Been running it as our primary heating since it was installed in October and its keeping the entire 2400sf house warm. We haven't even turned on our heating system since getting this stove.

It puts out quite a lot. We keep the fan on the lowest setting and it’s enough. Anything more is too much.

pellet is cheap here in indonesia, lot of demand came from mainland china, we couldnt come to europe/us market cause regulation and climate shit licence

Ya. I get it. Pellets are still relatively cheap in the U.S. compared to other forms of heating. We're loving it so far. :)
