Hi Gail and Alex, I enjoyed watching you building your "temporary though it looks awfully permanent" wood store. I reckon the shwoos feel safe inside their pen, so that may be why they like to spend so much time inside it. I live in a subdivision area where there's a Homeowners Association (Boo!) so I don't reckon I can have a clothesline, unless I have a fenced in back yard, which I don't, so I was eyeing your clothesline with much envy, because I Love the smell of clothes (and towels) dried outside. I swear you can smell the sunshine on them when you bring them inside the house. Much love from North Carolina!

A helpful tip, if it is a temporary structure, use wood screws instead of nails. We learned this the hard way. Way easier to take apart later without ruining your wood. Love all your videos.

Hello Gail and Alex! Awesome job ladies, it looks great. It's amazing what can be made with just things we all ready have around. I really love seeing y'all always doing things together. I just suddenly lost my mom 3 weeks ago and I'm now missing even the little things we did together. We also bought a house together years ago, so we were with each other all the time as well. I'm still in shock that she's really not here anymore.😇 It's a big wakeup call to always tell your family and friends how much you love and care about them and cherish all the time you share with them. Y'all give me comfort watching all the fun projects and mudlarking you do together. Looking forward to the next video. Have a wonderful and blessed day...Big ((Hugs)) and Love from Texas!!🤗💙

My Dad's occupation was actually a roof plumber. He built the water drainage for large or complex roofs... think commercial buildings, high rises, weirdly shaped architect-designed buildings. He had to determine how the water would flow along irregular angles and calculate correct slopes and what-not to avoid pooling, as well as build custom guttering and downspouts to match. I have no idea what the profession is called nowadays. And as for plumb part of plumber... he used a LOT of lead solder. Some of the solder sticks were as thick as a thumb. One of our fave toys were solder stars. Dad would heat the solder and let large drops fall on the concrete, which would create flat shapes for hours of fun and amusement. Just another danger of being a kid in the 60s.

You gals are so inventive and industrious. You're really making progress on your charming county cottage and garden/yard. I have Two suggestions: 1-you're going to get weeds growing up through the pallets on the ground. Wish you'd put down weed mat or old tarp under there, but now you could still nail tarp over top of the floor.2-for the roof I suggest something stronger to withstand a lot of rain than a tarp. Those corrugated plastic sheets shouldn't cost too much, and can be re-purposed later as well. They are quite durable. Please show us how the project turns out, with your wood store inside it.☺

Y’all could build some truly fabulous forts or tree houses for children as your side gig 😜. I enjoyed watching yall build this and it almost had me believing, I, too, should build something wonderful and useful with wooden pallets, but then I realized my video would be laden with profanity as I tried to build such a thing. 😂. I will learn to be content just watching the two of you wield your tools and talents as you create these cool things on the farm.
