I think this is a first for me....enjoying watching you do your dump.🤣😂😉 RE: The dump trailer. I too considered one, but the issue is, I needed a trailer that can handle 4 snowmobiles in the winter months and haul logs and firewood plus misc. equipment in the summer months and the cost of a 18-20' dump trailer vs a 18' Big Tex T70 trailer was something I could not swallow because of cost. Those dump trailers are big bucks so I found it cheaper in the long run to just rent one when needed.

The tractor is very impressive, thanks for showing it. Do you think this tractor could lift an Ibc tote filled with firewood?
@TonysTractorAdventure Жыл бұрын
I have lifted an IBC tote filled with firewood, but it totally depends on if the wood was dropped in or stacked. The tractor will lift 1300 pounds to full height; however, it will lift 2000 pounds about 2 feet.
@clarkharms Жыл бұрын
@@TonysTractorAdventure thanks for responding. I am amazed by the tractors capacity, features, and affordability. I had a Kubota L3901 and it could only lift them high enough to stack at full throttle. The LA525 loader on that tractor was rated at 1500# @ 60” or 1144# @ full height. The tym is rated at 1380# but I couldn’t find where that is measured from the ground. If it is 1380 at full height that is class leading. I can’t think of another sub compact that comes close to that.

In Australia all loader buckets are self levelling by law to avoid the risk of dumping on the tractor/driver. I am surprised it isn’t more common over your way. Good work there. I am always waiting for the next episode. You have even started me on the KZbin production with my TYM!😁👍
@TonysTractorAdventure3 жыл бұрын
I have seen pictures of TYM tractors with the self leveling loaders. I guess it boils down to cost and lower center of gravity. The self leveling loaders raise the center of gravity by placing more weight higher. I think the self leveling bucket would still be better, but we get use to working the equipment as it is. FYI. I served along side some of the best Australian Soldiers in Afghanistan. Really, great Soldiers. Stay tuned for more videos. Tony

My R4 tires would get me stuck almost constantly. I switched to R1's and almost never get stuck or spin now. They call R4s "Industrial tread" because they're mainly for use on dry surfaces and the lugs are wider....that's why you see them on skid steers, graders and other equipment that operates primarily on pavement. Why they're putting them on tractors now, I can't begin to guess. Its probably a cost issue. But that's what I recommend. That new arrow shape tread looks really cool too.
@TonysTractorAdventure3 жыл бұрын
They are putting R4s on tractors now because they are easier on yards. 40 HP and below tractors rarely ever see a field nowadays. I have never been stuck with R4s, but I have never had to feed cattle in the winter either.
@garryquiggins81832 жыл бұрын
The R4s last twice as long when you drive on pavement and yes less turf damage. I have T264H with fel and backhoe. Traction is never an issue even when shoveling snow.

On my rk25 my loader valve has a quick dump feature on it. While moving snow today I noticed it did nothing for the speed of dump. Infact it seemed to slow it down some. Does the tym have this feature as well? My manual doesn't say much about it. I'm starting to think the bucket has to have weight in it for that to work and snow isn't heavy enough.
@TonysTractorAdventure Жыл бұрын
My T25 and T474 have powered dump built in the valve. Push forward for normal dump. Push all the way for high flow dump. I think TYM uses a different valve.

@@TonysTractorAdventure One more point about purchase of a dump trailer. I do not know how much you spent to rent the trailer you used in the video. Figure the cost of the trailer, tax, upkeep (grease, battery, rust inhibitor, inspection, annual license cost, etc.) and then figure how many times a year you will use the trailer. If I had a local dealer that would let me rent a dump trailer, I would have never bought mine.

When dumping the trailer at 4:36 you used the spreader gate with no chains to make a pile. I never do it that way. To make a pile I open the gate using the barn doors. It makes a taller pile. I only use the spreader gate with chains to put the gravel in a thin late layer where ever I want it. Then I spread the gravel further with the box blade if needed. It goes faster for me and I spend much less time moving gravel with the loader.
