Did he say baseball contracts can’t be deferred? Or was he trying to explain that football doesn’t do that? Cause MLB does it all the time just look at Scherzer right now or Bobby Bonilla or Ken Griffey who are retired for a decade+ & still get paid every year.

Deferred wasn’t what I was saying. From what I understand you can’t push money down the road like you see QB’s restructure contracts all the time. Taking money they’re owed in let’s say 2023 and pushing it to future years.

@@JMFootball interesting, so I did some research because I knew about baseball but not football’s contract rules. There’s a rule limiting the maximum amount you can have deferred in the NFL so in order to loophole that, they restructure contracts afterwards so they’re ideally the same concept just done at different stages of the contract.

If I had to guess 30 in no order Mahomes Kyler Josh Allen Lamar Dak Kirk Cousins Aaron Donald Myles Garrett Aaron Rodgers Joe Burrow (he got extended already right? 2020 class so pretty sure it happened year 3 or 4) Jalen Hurts Tyreek Hill Davante Adams Justin Jefferson Jaire Alexander Trent Williams TJ Watt Deshaun Watson At this point I am now very unsure after that, I am very unsure if there are any more linemen that will make it but Thomas, Wirfs, Kelce, Lane Johnson are the names I am thinking about as the next highest paid guys, Bahk is up there too and why he may be a cap casualty there soon. Dex may be close there and Chris Jones should be because he did just get re-paid which is why he came back but I had to remember if he got paid or not to consider him. So Chris Jones Dexter Lawrence Andrew Thomas Tristan Wirfs Lane Johnson Stefon Diggs DANIEL FUCKING JONES I FORGOT UNTIL I ASKED MYSELF WHAT OTHER QBS ARE UP THERE Russ Herbert Derek Carr Jared Goff Matt Stafford Just came out perfectly to 30 so I'll keep it but I am expecting to have forgotten some guys or positions, Warner may be close but might be just outside, idk where Ramsey is exactly with the Dolphins contract, Minkah is right there too I think as is the other Diggs, Kelce is probably top 30 actually and Kittle/Andrews around there too somewhere. Maybe some other receivers or Tannehill but I don't really think I missed any there nope actually I am 100% sure AJB is on there but Chase, etc haven't gotten paid yet. Feel pretty decent with the list

I forgot to say Tunsil but I was thinking of him with the other tackles too. As many qbs as I listed still underrated it and didn't think about Jimmy. Didn't think about Kupp or Bosa, would have guessed Bosa but I don't know if I would have guessed Kupp
