@@jenny80myles funnily enough, that never crossed my mind...! But, having now just Googled it, both the XL1 and i3 were 'previewed' as concepts in 2011, then went in to production in 2013 with the i3 just beating the XL1 to market by a couple of months in Nov 2013 (i3) vs Jan 2014 (XL1). Clearly, the main difference though was that the 60Ah i3 Rex cost around £29,000 at launch vs £98,500 for the XL1...!!

@@jonathantaylor1998 Sure. We will leave out the 2002 1 litre concept and the 2009 L1 concept. It's kind of like comparing an Ikea furniture to a bespoke hand made piece.
@gazzaman284 ай бұрын
I have a 2015 i3 REX, it has roughly an 18kWh battery, and the fuel tank is around the same size as the XL1, it will take about 9 litres max. It'll do around 70 miles on electric only mode, but can be rapid charged so that it can be refilled to about 90% in about 45mins. It will do about 90 miles on petrol, so its MPG isn't that great in reality, but it's a fabulous little car, I love mine, it's done nearly 120k and the battery is still excellent.
