Heres a trick i was told by a bait maker. Heat the molds with a heat gun on high before you inject the plastic. I never understood why some change limetreuse to green chartreuse lol chartreuse has always been a yellowish color and limetreuse more green. Guess im just old school lol.

With injection molds you want to keep some pressure while the baits cool. Then it will harden up solid.

You mean like the clamps I used or something else?

@@aaanglers no. When you use the injector keep some pressure on the knob where you push the plastic in. Also fill the hole with molten plastic to help it keep its shape because when it cools it sucks in more plastisol.

@@aaanglers awesome! Also a little idea to try out for your swimbaits. Use salt in the bottom laminate to act as a keel weight for the plastic. Plus it’s added weight so you can use a weightless setup!

For the morning dawn color I would start with a lot less pigment and see if you like that better. The coppertruese looks great and if you want a brighter yellow then use just the yellow chartreuse and add a drop of white. Tight Lines Nerds 🎣

Love the vids, been watching for a long time! Just a tip: I like to pour the plastisol directly from the cup into the injector and then shoot. Saves a mess all over the outside of the injectors and prevents you from sucking up air bubbles!

I don’t have any making kit stuff but been looking into it what’s the cooling time like from pouring it in the injector you ever have it go cold to fast and mess up at all just wonder cuz I know it goes quick

The big "bubbles" come from inconsistent pressure & the temperature of the plastic going into a 'cold" mold while shooting. The plastic cools quickly and when the mold is cool, it creates a pocket of air that the vents can't release. Aside from that, you need adult supervision...😅

do yo heat your molds with plastic,, I know with lead if the mold isn't hot you will get wrinkles and all sorts of problems
