Ooo, Planetbase. An older game, but I quite like it. It's all about maintaining balance and expanding in a well-planned order. :) Big piece of advice: do not ~ever~ have biologists as less than 30% of your colony. There is a limit to the number of people one biologist can feed, and that limit is "just about three". (PS: meat is a noob trap: it is much more labor-intensive than plants, so you get less food for the same number of biologists.)
