I did the same as Portugal, they good naval buffs, one of them is plus 10% a faster shipbuilding bonus, you add up the generic naval focus from the bottom left and you pump out ships like crazy.

Okay, some early criticisms. Don't mean to be mean. 1) You should cancel the two Littorio-class battleships; they are too expensive and just barely started. You should consider building four new fast battleships to escort your carriers. 2) You didn't need to create an agency; you get one with an extra spy from your focus tree! Best;

You united the Navy into a submarine fleet, so now your main fleet is called "4th submarine group" (IV Gruppo Sommergibili) which is quite funny tbh. Nice video tho. PS, when you take African colonies, or actually any colonial holdings, you can feed them to Italian East Africa. They have a modifier for non core manpower, and you can lower the resistance in your puppet by giving them guns and men. Then you siphon the manpower making colonial divisions. When I did my Italy world conquest, I fed them everything that wasn't Roman Empire core, they had 17M manpower by the end.

It's not bad at all to refit your old ships so long as you don't change their armour or engine. It's a good idea to make bare templates with only those two slots to pump out hulls faster and then refitting them with all your upgraded guns.

One tip i have for researching carriers faster is to improve relations with japan (or any other nation that has carriers) and ask for a production license, it gives a 20% research bonus

You can actually get more than 4 CVs, but just don’t stack them in the same squadron. It’s 4 max per squadron!

@ yes unfortunately because it’s per combat… Just set your squadrons to different sea zones so they don’t stack together in combat. Just to let you know the penalty is 20% of unavailable planes per carrier over the limit. That means if you have 5 CVs 20% of the TOTAL planes will not be available, if you have 6 CVs it will be 40% of the planes, if you have 8 CVs it will be 80% and so on, and so on…

Italy is not too hard to win the Med with as it is…Just avoid a combined British-French fleet if you are set to always attack. Add a couple of converted battleship hulls and you’re golden…

you dont need spotting cruisers if you get radar 2 or 3 on your CLs and because when youre fighting in the med you can just build state radar and spot with that. Also please dont put armor IV on the light attack cls i get that you dont want them to get shreaded by enemy fleets but its worse to have speed lower then 30kn (retreat speed and chance to get hit by navs)

lvl 3 (1940) light cruisers with lvl 2 light guns, 1 anti air and 1 torpedo is my choise for smaller nations if I want naval gameplay. Don't actually need heavy ships or aircraft carriers.
