@@rpaafourever7908 Call it whatever, its a fact. One word "I earn more than you" is enough to start all the issues. Women who used to keep the family together inspite of all issues were the core of Indian family system. Once they got independent, they are ok to break the family and go away whenever they want. So the only glue which could stick the family is gone!

Naani appears to have outdated views. Lets not forget the show is more than a decade old. Hopefully he's a changed man now. He was very caustic back then but appears to be subdued and mellowed down during his commentary these days. Time changes a lot of people. No point in chastising him over a decade old view.

Depends on the Family situation, Mostly nowadays nuclear families are preferred in that case very difficult for both members to go for work and that too many go outside their hometown for work . So decision mostly based on the family situation. Either wife parents / husband parents stay along then both can go for work and that too if their parents are supportive but if they are very old then difficult for both to go work.
