I starting working teaching ESL/EFL at 43, moved to Mexico a few years later, found several jobs there, and the school I worked at in GDL Mex had several teachers over 60!!!! I have not taught now for over 15 years, but am reconsidering upgrading skills and teaching again.

Thanks very much. I had to retire early due to family. I've always wanted to teach but felt like I was too old. I came up on you by accident, one of the best uplifting accidents in my life. Thank you for the information.

Oh YAYAYAY!! MISSED this webinar last night because of loadshedding here in SA last evening and so very happy to be able to listen after the fact because I'm really battling to find an online tutor job, having completed the TEFL LEVEL5 course a few years ago now and at 62 wondering if I'm not getting jobs due to my age.... Passionate about reading, and really worry about the youngsters not appreciating being able to speak and be understood in English.... Thanks so much for these Webinars as I don't feel so alone now Can't wait to get into it

After many years (30+) as a SEND teacher and manager I have finally started the TEFL course. Its very different from my usual English teaching (GCSE). I'm enjoying it so far and hope to do some online 1:1 work in the future. I'm in Somerset.

Thank you, I think the tips are all very useful. There isn't a one size fits all. Hopeful I can move forward. Doing the volunteering and hoping to gradually take on students

I appreciate the candor. I'm in my 60s, have taught at the college level 10 yrs, and ran a successful business as an owner. I'd desire to attend a TEFL program overseas. Which do you recommend?
