The only thing the Epic store really has going for it is the free games. Also Epic as a company sucks way more, not that Valve is a saint (TF2's bot problem really sucks, Deadlock looks terrible, lack of communication from devs, they worked with Bethesda to try and charge for certain Skyrim mods on the Steam workshop, they can't actually finish a damn game to save their life, etc etc). Of course, Epic has done good things too, like their lower price cut on sold games and I've heard some real good things about Unreal Engine. Just like any company, they both have their ups and downs and it isn't as as simple as "[blank] bad, [blank] good" but yes, I generally prefer Steam as a platform and think Valve is the better company.

ive tried it once, never going to try again. Melee is stupidly strong in this game, these crazeheads that run for you with crowbar should at least scream or give out their place on the map. I was just casually exchanging lead with enemies and had an upperhand, but suddenly a spy from team fortress two sneaked behind me and one shot killed me because i had like 60%hp or so next time ill do this i will go in the corner and just sit here until the turf boss appears, because melee fuckers are silent and deadly, especially when youre invested in shooting alot

I got Crime Boss off of PS Plus, and I have to say I'm enjoying it so far, jank included. There's a cutscene with Baker, Nesara, and Gloves where nobody even had any facial movements, and I couldn't stop laughing. I really think the game could become something really cool.

devs stated roguelite mode will stay this way, but i wish they make more ways to play it in mp. Currently in the multiplayer youre just playing the sad shadow of what roguelite experience gives. I hope devs make another mode specifically for the multiplayer purposes, so it will be as enjoyable as singleplayer experience. I really enjoy the game of risks and rewards, its really something new in heisting genre and I'm all for it

This was a rather effective "not sponsored" video, as it got me to shell out 17 bucks (it was on sale when I wrote this) for the steam release of the game. I think the tipping point was the "rougelike single player" elements. That genuinely looks like a fun time. The acting might not live up to the fantasy of the early trailers, but hearing that the gameplay and overall atmosphere seems to is a great thing indeed.

I have been playing Crime Boss for a few days as it came to Steam, it's most definitely not a bad game. A bit on the small scale, but it's fun. They got a lot of actors to play the characters in the game... Most of them are phoning in their performance, but somehow on a meta level I feel that kind of adds to it as it's going for a very 80s to 90s feel, and in those times video games weren't taken very seriously and that kind of voice acting was common from bigger actors.

I cant emphasize anymore about how impressive really the RNG of the missions are! its way better than Payday 3 AND Payday 2 imo. we got examples like: in Bank Heist, there are times when you load in the mission you are already given a STEALTH WIN. every CIV is tied up, every guard too, all cams down and all you need to do is just get the vault open. then another route is that you get thrown in the last point of the bank heist on LOUD without any prep and you're in the middle of bringing the bags to the chopper. In those warehouse missions where gangs take it over, sometimes Cops can ambush you while you're in stealth like its a trap setup by them. Or where Cagnali gang is in the warehouse missions and you plan to steal it, only for it to be a trap as robots appear out of Crates above as you go near the building!

This video made me try crime boss And ignoring the voice acting (except Michael Rooker and the hiesters, they are actually fairly good and full ran with the goofiness of the game) It's actually fairly good, it's simple, it's fun, very replayable, and can put up quite a challenge if you're reckless. The only complaints I have is sometimes it's too simple, payday had that extra loot if you're willing to find it, this game doesn't. It's very plain. And it's difficulty is all over the place, a medium risk hiest can take you out in minutes solo, but add one more hiester and it's like the police can't see and are hunting you using only their hearing. It's exactly what I paid for, and I'm honestly shocked how enjoyable is it all things considered

On the defense parts of the turfwar, you can actually defend a turf without any soldiers if you're good enough. Touchdown is essential to the defense, not the soldiers. I recommend around 5 or 7 soldiers for everyone except Kahn, where you should send 9, I despise his little crowbar minions.

Don't forgot there' actual animations for everything (it doesn't just cut to black like Payday 3. Now I know Payday 1 and 2 did that, but if we are at 3 already with a new engine I expect this). Also (and I think Payday 3 finally added SOME of this), animations for throwing bags, looting up the money, and a throwing animation of throwing the bags in the van. PLUS animations for when your exiting whether that is driving out or other ways. Oh, also. The AI is top-tier honestly. Almost always they work well. You can command them, they do stuff ON THEIR OWN, they are actually helpful and it's great. Plus Unreal Engine 5. I think Payday 3 still on 4 with being on 5 someday over the rainbow? I actually love the campaign. All Payday 3 does is have some still image cutscenes, here we have full on cutscenes and I love it!. PLUS THEY ADD ON THE THE CAMPAIGN. That's amazing.

I at first did not enjoy this game, the heist system just isn't nearly as complex as payday 2 and with how awful payday 3, they had a chance. But I did enjoy the gun play, so I gave it a shot. After 10 hours, I started to enjoy the more gimmicky, shorthanded levels vs the complexity of payday 2. It's more simple and just easy to play and drop whenever you want. The voice acting and writing also grew on me; thought it was awful and unfunny, now it's funny and bareable (cus of how bad it is)

Honestly with how lacking Payday 3 turned out, and what this looks like to me. I'm sold. I'd love to see more of it because it seems like a way better spiritual successor to Payday 2, than the actual sequel. The way it was presented, it seems to have the Payday heisting formula, the cheesy humor that feels like a parody of every action movie ever, and honestly interesting systems. I'm sure gonna buy it even if to see wether it's as fun as it seems.

After almost all the Payday youtubers praised this game's current build, I went and picked it up on Steam for 15 bucks and...this sucks? This sucks a lot. Genuinely baffled at this recommendation.
