Tbf if u were to keep repeating the same challenge it gets boring, so I can understand the perspective of wanting to get smth op to clear it quick. But yeah challenges like this gives opportunities to use underrated Pokémon you don’t normally use so it’s the interesting underrated movesets versus the tried and true basic op Pokémon to guarantee the win.

It makes me a bit sad that there is this negative feedback regarding your chosen difficulty. The most important thing is you and your viewers having fun. So there is no point in making it frustratingly difficult, in my opinion. Your set of rules currently provides a very nice challenge that still makes clearing a type rewarding without burning you out.

I was referring to comments like "You are doing it wrong and should do X instead" or "It is pointless to attempt a challenge like this using broken legendaries". Not direct quotes. The point may be valid but often it is still quite disrespectfully phrased, in my opinion. Something like "I would enjoy it more if you did not start with legendary Pokémon and some niche Pokémon got a chance to shine" is constructive feedback, and I have no problem with that, whether I agree or not. So by "negative feedback", I meant the way it was given, not criticism in general.

I don't necessarily agree that that is what happened universally on prior videos, and I'd like to see some actual quotes, but certainly people on the Internet are too mean and over the top in general. More importantly, though, you kind perpetuated what you're complaining about. Instead of making it clear that you wish some people could be more positive with their choice of words, you cast everyone as negative and ignored all the reasonable criticism that the majority made, thereby undermining your intentions.

I did not use direct quotes because I did not want to pick out specific people. I read all the comments for this video and remembered comments from earlier videos in this challenge. I did not try to do a proper analysis and was mainly stating my subjective feelings on reading some of those statements. And leave a couple of encouraging words. Hope that clarifies things and does not make me sound overly preachy.

I think you should pick what is most fun for you and the chat. But at the same time it must be hard as a creator to balance what you like with the feedback. For doing 18 of these challenges, I think it's fine that some are going to be easier than others. Hope you find a good approach you're happy with in the coming runs. Found your channel a month ago, and I have had a lot of enjoyment from your library of videos. The Frosmoth vs. Heatran is one of the most nuts pokemon battles I've ever seen. Especially that it didn't thaw itself with a fire move. Keep up the good work! Thank you.
